What price to quote a local lawyer? Advice please

First off I just want to say thank you to everyone on here. I have learned alot reading the posts on this forum and have gained much knowledge from it!

I found a local lawyer that has 6 locations in my metro area. None of them are claimed. He has a full two page ad in the metro AT&T yellow pages, and has adwords campaigns currently running too.

for accident+lawyer+city his adwords ad is on the top of the 3 block ads, but none of his 6 locations show up in the first 10 pages of GP listings. in organic search results, the top position has 585 inlinks (yahoo site explorer), and my potiental client only has 44. the term has 4,400 local monthly searches.

for city+attorney and attorney+city, he lists 2nd in adwords. the top two organic result (3 above the 7 pack) is (city)cityattorney.com and has 587 inlinks is yahoo, but has 3,731 pages according to yahoo (4,100 pages according to google). this keyword has 49,500 monthly local searches and medium competition. for attorney+in+city he does not list at all. the first two keywords have a 7 pack, the in+city has a blended 7 pack.

this lawyer has adwords listings for multiple keywords with medium monthly searches and the yellowbook advertising so I know he is paying a good amount on advertising. i really want to land this guy for at least the GP listings, and maybe even SEO work too.

I may be mistaken, but I think that if I outsource the backlinking that it shouldn't be that hard to rank his site on the first page of google since the competition doesn't seem to be too heavy. reviews wise, he has 14 reviews vs the rest under 12 reviews. citations is where he is lacking, so i would need to provide many citations. Then backlink the citations. Upload pictures and videos, injecting keywords in each of those.

Originally I was thinking $250 start up fee per GP listing, then $200 a month per, with a 6 month contract. Then $500 a month for the SEO work on the site itself. Does this sound about right, too low, too high? Should I set a price per keyword or lump it all into one price? I don't want to sound too high on the start, but I don't want to screw myself over either. he specializes in automotive injury cases and promises no fees or expenses unless you recover.

This would be my first big client. I have done a few smaller clients but no contracts or monthly fees. I am wanting to step up the pace and income. Go big or go home right? ANY help will be greatly appreciated!!

    Kronic,

    Add on an additional zero.

Find out how much he is paying for his ppc campaigne, this will likely blow your socks off. Just log into your google account and put the keywords and get the pricing ECP cost.

You did not tell us how competitive this area is, or the size of the town. He has six locations.

Lawyers and Doctors tend to be very completive and have huge reputation manageable "issues" that are good hot buttons.

Places now needs well optimized and local seo'ed web pages ... So make sure that this is priced out separate and structure it so that you submit a list of changes to be given to the web master to edit and change ... or that you can get access to the site to make the onpage seo.

If you don't do the on page seo then the backlinking is hugely inefficient and the site is prone to being bumped down any time any one comes in and does a properly local seo'ed site.

    step one
claim and optimizes all six places pages
    Upsell new photos and videos

    Step two
onpage local onpage seo of his web page

    Step three
    offpage seo backlinking
    Reviews management
    citation building and citation submitions

    Upsell
videos on youtube, articles, and press releases

      thanks Samy for the advice.

using google adwords traffic estimator i got
      car+wreck+attorney+city = $37.49, 2,400 monthly local
      car+accident+attorney+city = $38.61, 2,900
      car+wreck+lawyer+city = $37.58, 8,100 monthly local
      car+accident+lawer+city = $84.38, 6,600 monthly local
      injury+attorney+dallas = $41.21, 2,900 monthly local
      injury+attorney+dallas = $41.96, 6,600 monthly local

population wise, the main city itself is 2.5M, not including the metro cities. so its a major metro area.

price separate for GP and organic searches. I have a small portfolio for GP, but its only 3 clients in a small town. SEO work, I have done work for one client and got him on top for one keyword plus first page for several other keywords, but it was for a friend just to see if I knew what I was doing and did not charge. since I was not getting paid, I did not stay long with the project.

on-site SEO could use work, but isn't too bad. the client I did my study work with had a half finished website and ZERO SEO work on it. The entire site needed redone and he couldn't afford that. So I really haven't done on-site seo. i ran the url through a few seo graders with results like:

      Your Content ratio is GOOD!
You have used the H1 html tag, very good!
      Your pages content-type is text/html.
      Your server response good!

if at all possible I would prefer to focus first on GP then organic. start the campaign with the 6 GP and claim all, fill out all information properly and seo friendly, upload pictures and videos to media hosting site, submit pictures and videos to other sites, linking back to media hosting site, submit to web directories, ping directories, add more citations, backlink the citations, ping the backlinks.

the reviews I am not sure how to do, unless he has email reviews or paper reviews and i outsource the review posting. that way the reviews are real and not faked. and have him encourage his clients adding reviews online, promote qr codes with the reviews for GP.

outsource videos for the moment until funds permit better home equipment. not familiar with press releases, need to do research on those.

Thanks daniel. This would be my first big client and the numbers seem too good to be true.

Go for the jugular and charge at least $2000, and then 15% of the sales that they get from the campaigns that you created for them. They have the money. They can afford it - especially if it's bringing in new clients.
