Script for my telemarketer

I know longer use a script. Just curious what some of your telemarketers may have had success duplicating?

"Hey Mrs. Jones, this is John Durham With Consolidated construction down here on east main. I hope you're doing well today. Really breifly we are going to be out on haines street next tommorrow giving away free roofing inspections to promote our June Summer Sale. Throughout the month of June we are cutting prices on windows roofing and siding by as much as 50% and so we are giving out as many free inspections as possble this month to save homeowners money... Just wondering if I had your address correct here to make sure we get your free inspection to you... are you still the owner of the house at___________?

When would be a good time to have our guy stop by and look at any roofing issues that might concern you?


Okay Chris, most people are gonna say "I dont have any roofing concerns".

Some are gonna say "%$*** off"! Because this is residential calling, unlike small business where people are polite.

About one or two out of 50-100 is gonna say "Holy Cow Im glad you called... This is a Free Estimate Right? No Obligation? Well come on out I really need someone to take a look at_____"


Then Chris, you just tighten down the appointment and make sure the decision maker is gonna be there at the appointed time!

I must say Chris that you are leaving alot of money on the table by limiting it to roofing, your TSR will get people that also want other kinds of construction if you say we do "Windows, roofing, siding , decks, and other home remodeling..." My 2 pence.

Scripts mean nothing if you know what you are doing. Give a basic idea of your product, and if you have hired someone that knows what they are doing, they will speak to each customer however it comes out. The key to booking is to talk to those you call like they are a person. Written scripts don't allow this.

There is not one true telemarketer/appointment setter that needs a long script. I can book any appointment, demo, seminar etc, within 30 seconds, if the person is going to do it. Too many overly pushy business owners think a golden script will get them results. The truth is a golden caller is what gets you results.
