How To REALLY Make $1000 Your First Week.

Hey Warriors,

I always wanted to give back to my fellow warriors. I've been there... frustrated as hell reading all the threads there is and being STUCK.

I have a team of 9 people including myself now. I've been around the block and tested all the WSOs and decided to use the ones that are working and walk away from the ones that aren't working for me.

I do a lot of direct mailing, cold calling, networking, etc. But this is probably the fastest way to land your first two clients.

I would wish you luck... but there's no luck involved. Take action and you'll land a deal.
PLEAAAASE TAKE ACTION!!!

P.S. If you want you can download the brochure on my blog. I'll blackout all the my info but you can get the idea of what kind of brochures I give out.

      Hi Chris,

Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your technique. I actually had thought about brochures. It is good to hear that that particular method is working out for you then.

By the way, I subscribed to your list, but I haven't gotten anything since confirming Thought I'd let you know as autoresponders can get buggy at times. I look forward to hearing more from you. I wish you much success.

You really stand out from all the direct marketers and cold callers because you're seeing them FACE TO FACE. Don't even think of it as selling. When a pizza shop opens around the block they go around and let everyone know that they're in business. It's the same principle. Next time they need a website it's more likely they call you rather than someone else from yellowpages.

I'll check aweber and send you the brochure in case it didn't go through.

I never attached it with a direct mail yet but I'm sure it'll help. I did include a 10 page ebook on my direct mail and it definitely helped with conversion.

Btw, I just did a site for a church and they'll hand out my brochures to all their members on the day they present the website. Can't wait for the badass referrals!

Good video!....I agree, short of direct mail, which I do and teach, going face-to-face can be the most powerful way to develop leads and get marketing intelligence.

By being 'out' in the market and just meeting owners and business managers you develop instincts about what the business may need and what will get them interested. Thanks for reminding us that 'simple and direct' still works.

Bruce, I'm actually really surprised by what you said about "developing instinct about what the business may need and what will get them interested." I can already tell that you're the real deal.

I taught couple people how to invest in real estate and I always tell them to "hit the street!" because that's the only way you can really get the feel of the area and the people. Too bad not enough people are willing to take real action. they just want the MAGIC PILL and usually they never make it till the end.

That my friend is called "Experience". I would say it's similar to seeing a doctor, after many years in practice the doctor can usually determine what options are available once he does a physical on the patient.

I know from many years of experience, trial and error, what it takes for certain types of businesses to survive and prosper. If they aren't implementing specific methods like follow-up marketing, then they probably have a problem. Call me Doctor

I actually made another video today with my intern going over what to say and how he had to gets rejected a lot. It's easy or hard depending what you believe. Subscribe to my blog if you want to see it.

And don't "think" that you can't do it, "take action" and see if it works for yourself. I don't believe half the the gurus out there because I always TEST IT myself.

I remember telling my mentor "hey the realtor told me those deals only come around once or twice a month" and he said "well get that one or two a deal a month." Same mentality... you said "maybe a few people made it" so why don't you be that FEW PEOPLE. DOOOO IT!!!

I'm a big fan of old school marketing. I study the godfathers of marketing. And I'm also a huge fan of direct mail marketing and going to network meetings.

Don't get me wrong, I get tons of deals from internet marketing as well. Why not get the best of the both world!

High, you're def on point but you don't have to be so mean to the guy.

I don't get why you deleted the other comment and didn't delete this one because this one is not any nicer.

Anyways, I def can see why you thought my office is like a factory. I honestly cracked up when you said that and was pretty happy you thought that. It's only one person who's doing my direct mailing and to you it seemed like a factory? I guess my one guy was doing good work. Kudos to him.

I just came across this thread tonight, but I was out pounding the pavement with my own brochure for the first time today! So this confirmed for me the brochure approach will work!

I would go in to a business, look around and 'see' what I could offer them as a video or what they could do with a Facebook Page, etc. Then when I got into conversation with an owner or salesperson, I expressed interest in their business and their merchandise or service, said I would mention it to people I know that would also like it. Then I'd ask if they were the owner and ask if they have a website or Facebook Page, etc. I'd mention I was just by a neighbor of theirs to give them a brochure and wondered if they would like one. I hand it to them with my business card and just mention I can help them make sense of selling online to their community in any way they might need.

No idea if this will pan out just yet, but I intend to get out a lot more. We'll see.

I did a interview with my intern yesterday and he's the shyest guy ever and even he lands deals. The crazy part is that he doesn't even know anything about internet marketing.

Our motto is "there is no effin way you can't close a deal by giving out 100 brochures!" lol

btw, if they say they're not interested ask them if the know anyone who might be interested. You'd be surprised...

Wish you the best of luck and let me know when you land that deal.

Btw, we only did brochures in the beginning to get our name out and get couple testimonials around the block.

We kinda slowed down on the brochures since we're working with clients who are paying more and paying less. More they pay, the less they complain. I had to learn it the hard way.

What do you mean? You're saying I'm not perfect? HAHAHAHA JKJK

Yea, you're right on point. You can close more and learn more from going out 100 times and cold calling 100 times than buying products and keep preparing to prepare.

I honestly don't think brochure is the best way, but it's better than buying products and not taking any action. At least this is guaranteed with action.

    Great video bro!

Nice to see a young dude at a successful point in terms of making money and owning a business. I personally STILL have yet to pull in any significant income with my IM work, probably because I continue to bounce around. I'm a full-time student and I also have a full-time internship on my vacations.

Quick question; I totally agree that you shouldn't go into things blind and pretend to be something you're not. However, do you think that for offline marketing a noobie can't go in? I personally know next to nothing about ranking a local business high in Google, but I really think offline marketing could work to me because I have really good people skills. (At least I'm told that)

I figure it's possible to land the deal as a broker essentially, and then outsource the work, and collect a profit.

Maybe we can chat sometime via email. I really respect your attitude toward running a business.

    Best of luck,

Matt, you can always start by selling websites to get testimonials and referrals because you don't really have to know much about a website to sell it.

I don't know if you call this outsourcing but my team does all the web designing, developing, seo works. I'm focusing more on the marketing side. So yea, you should def broker your deals.

If you have any questions, just shoot me a pm or email me at chris@lifestylebossdotcom

My passion in life is talking about business, doing business, and helping others do the same. that's the only reason i started my blog. And that's the reason i have interns in the office to teach them so they can start their own plantation.

to be honest with you it didn't take long. i only started offline marketing this year. i did hire and fire a lot of people and still in process of testing people out. I have 9 to 11 right now. I give everyone 2 weeks to prove themselves.

btw, i'm a real estate investor and thank god i had money to blow because paying 9 people and testing all these marketing materials (dvd, seminars, WSOs) i burned 30k. plus all these products don't do the half the things they claim so it was frustrating at first.

i flew out to atl couple months ago for SEOPRO from stompernet and that cost about $1500 + $1500 (hotel, car rental, food, alcohol). i don't go to seminars to learn something "new" but to network with people who are already doing it. i'm actually flying out to phoenix next next week for another seopro.

anyways, if you have question pm me or email me. I'm actually going on a gotomeeting with a fellow warrior on tuesday to teach him how to find the right team.

Maybe I'll do it again next time. It's really no biggy. Long story short, the best way to find the right team is to hire the right people and they will refer you to their friends. stars are connected with other stars. most people know or hang out with people around the same skill level. not always, but more likely.

    Hey Chris,

I'm right outside of Philly. I don't really focus much on building websites. I focus more on optimizing businesses via other methods (up sells, cross sells, building customer lists, optimizing the sales process, advertising, etc.)

Perhaps we can team up and help each other? I'm willing to pay you for any business you refer to me. And I'll also send you any business that I have that needs a website.

PM me if you are interested in something like this. We can certainly talk about it more and throw some more ideas around.

Perhaps we can team up and help each other? I'm willing to pay you for any business you refer to me. And I'll also send you any business that I have that needs a website.

PM me if you are interested in something like this. We can certainly talk about it more and throw some more ideas around.
I'll def PM you. The best marketing is when people refer each other.

Go out tomorrow and close a deal. Don't come back on the forum until you talk to 100 business owners! I'm sure you'll get your first client. good luck~ =)

It was my intern who was giving it out. I think he converted at 2-3 for every 100 he sent out. Can't really remember because we have so many different marketing campaign going on. You can check out the interview I did with my "shy" intern when you optin to my list. It's set for private to my list.

Cold calling is great too but i think this converts better. Plus you get to get your name out to the local business owners. I personally dont coldcall or hit the street anymore. I outsource is all.

Its really a very difficult to make this amount for a newbie on the internet business, There is a option at which you can do this, suppose you have some skills which have some good value in the market then you can utilize them over the outsourcing site and can get, otherwise forex business also an option in which allot of risk involved but newbie can't do that without proper training and some demo experience. For me outsourcing is the best option but its must you have some skills then you can do this.

I think this is an area that most internet marketers overlook, yet it is the easiest one to penetrate. i used to hate calling on businesses but I soon realised thats where the big bucks were being made and soon got over my shyness.
I like to use business card sized promotions with some cryptic message and just a website link - converts like crazy from curiosity alone!

Chris Cho, thanks I will check that out.

Going to 100 businesses and only 2-3 seems a bit low for all the work it takes no wonder Mr "Shy" does it for you.

I am going to study my potential clients and give them a list of what I can do to help them do you think that will give me a high percentage on getting clients?

Always good to see someone taking action and calling for others to take action.
That's what it's all about, and thanks for taking your time to make your video.

I figure if someone is upfront and a la naturale and not in a flashy video with bells and whistles it tends to strike a chord on genuine character.

A good message and thanks for the effort.

it's really not that hard. going out to 100 business owners and offering websites and internet marketing @ $500-$3000 is not that hard.

I said it in the video to do a website or some type of marketing for your friends or acquaintance to have some proof. plus if you're selling something you've never done, it's kinda scammy. so you're right about having the skills but i still disagree that this is hard.

Bob, would love to see how that looks like. I'll send you a PM. And yea, i totally agree that IMers overlook this. It's probably the easiest market to target.

my brochure had so much grammar errors. I had my article writer and web designer bang it out in a day. I knew that being mister perfect, i was going to take days. I even had this one random professor who called me and told me my brochures really pretty but the grammar is horrible.

I do a lot of direct mailing now. I send 100-125 mails and get about 25 calls from it weekly. i no longer do the brochures but it's a great way to start out.

yup, that's what it's all about. taking action and sharing. I did my part of sharing so i wish people are taking action from it. I would be happy if even one person came back to this thread and said "i went out and met with 100 business owners." I'm sure anyone who takes enough action will succeed.

Yes, taking action is very important. Without nothing can be accomplished. I believe that there is a quote around this very topic.

I apologize for getting back to everyone so late. I've been really busy with my business.

Anyways, I wanted to share one of the emails I got from my list.

"I am so shocked that this was such a simple method to implement. I have purchased countless WSO's and although most of them are good as far as educational purposes is cincern, your FREE brochure information is the one that made me money."I really hope everyone takes action. Like he said, it's free and it works. Stop trying to look for the next big thing!

It doesn't have to be this approach but there are so many things you can do without spending much money. Call 100 people, visit 100 local businesses, email 100 businesses who need your help, ask all your friends on fb for referrals, and test some direct mails if you have some extra cash to work with.

I don't want to wish you guys luck. JUST TAKE ACTION!!! =)

Taking action in general is what will get you that $1k as soon as possible. Send 100 direct mails, 100 cold calls, or visit 100 businesses a week and by the end of the month you'll have a business with recurring income.. A very valuable asset.

What's funny, Chris, is that you made that video over two years ago and the information is still totally fresh. Things don't change. I sent out twenty letters through snail mail and got 1 job out of it. People don't think about the power of "old school" techniques like brochures and snail mail, but you know, with being overwhelmed with spam and stuff in e-mail, the old fashioned approach is new again. Finding the owners or decision makers and talking to them, or mailing directly to them is a great way to get business. Thanks for the video. (don't forget the power of videos people. that "video face time" element buildss rapport with folks.)
