App for Local Businesses (free to them)
Hi Guys,
I was recently shown a demo of a super cool directory/website/smartphone app.
The first thing the guy said was "The price is 50,000 Euros", so I kind of tuned him out after that. We discussed a few other things and met again a week later.
He had changed his plan to exactly what I was thinking.
Here's the idea. I'll use pizza delivery as an example, but it can be done with carry out orders, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations etc.
It works on smartphones in conjunction with Google Maps.
Let's say I'm in Kuala Lumpur, or Johannesburg, or Sydney, or New York & I'm hungry for a pizza. There are many, many app's out there now, that will do this, yet this app goes a LOT further.
It will show me pizza restaurants (or steakhouses, or sushi restaurants depending on what I search for) within a 3 km or 3 mile or whatever radius (settings can be customized).
Yes, there is a click-to-call button. Yes it shows me the Google Map locations.
It's (I think) unique in that a customer registers only once. Secure credit card payment gateway is provided......Now, maybe I'm from Houston, Texas, on vacation in Bangkok, Thailand.
I can just click, click, click and my order is on its way to my apartment on Lad Prao Rd in NE Bangkok.
It can also show the restaurant the Google Map location of where my smartphone is located. How cool is that???

The restaurant gets the fax, email, SMS or any combination (can be all 3) when the order is placed. Totally FREE for them to sign on to the program.
I keep calling it an app, but it is much more than just an app. It will work from THE website, it will work from a downloadable, cross-platform app, and also will have a mobile website version.
How do we make money???
Well, the pizzeria takes on a surcharge per order (they can pass it on to the customer or split it or just reduce their price) & we do a profit sharing deal on that.
We being my company and you the re-seller/affiliate.
The surcharge can be a set amount or a percentage of the total bill.
Totally customizable.
I was hoping to have my paws on my very own demo version by now, but this is a LOT of programming and the bugs are being worked out.
Also I have given just a VERY brief description of what it can do....it can do many more things.........SUPER easy to configure though.
We'll need tons of resellers/affiliates though to make it work.
Imagine $0.15 cents USD in your pocket for every order placed thru the system for clients you sign up.
It does have an Achilles heel in that it will need a lot of promotion.
Anyhow, it'll be great if we can get guys promoting to email lists and SMS campaigns going out.
Not there yet, but I'm sure we can get it viral and offer discounts for referrals etc, soon.
It'd be great to hear some constructive criticism.
