Making my website and have some questions.

Well my url is Genesis Designs | and the problem I am having is deciding what pages to put on it and how to sort it. My business is just offline marketing to local businesses offering web design and SEO, but how should I put that on my web page. I want to sell it in packages like I will have a web presence package that comes with a custom website, facebook page, google place lisintg, all the good stuff.

I am just a little lost and a little direction wouldn't hurt, so I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

I am not proclaiming to be an expert, but I did have a conversation about this the other day with a guy who runs a pretty successful business serving offline businesses.

    Some of the things mentioned...

    1) Prospective clients want to know your process. So whether you offer one, two or an array of services, knowing ahead of time how the process works is highly important to your prospective customers.

    2) I have gone the route of pre-packaged services and am honestly not sure it does more harm than good. If you can figure out a way to stick to the contents, fine. But most clients will have specialized needs that fall outside of most "packages". SEO is one thing, and having a packaged solution works well - but keeping in mind #1 is important...make sure you outline not only what will be done, but what timeframe this will be implemented. For web design, I have personally given up on "packages" because it ends up shooting me in the foot almost every time by trying to comply with client demands at too low of a price. Plus, I think your "better" customers will want a more customized design solution and quote. IDK though, just my two cents.

    3) Portfolio. You will find from traffic stats that after a visitor lands on your page, many will then go to your portfolio page. The more you can beef this up, the better. Whether a web design, facebook page or a business card design (lol) - do your best to fill this area out as much as possible.

    4) I see you have a testimonials page - awesome! Very important.

That's about all I can think of to say right now - I need to go to bed

    Good luck!!!

I agree. An impressive portfolio is very important. Prospects would be wanting see a glimpse of the type of service you can provide. If you fail to impress with your samples, a prospect may immediately lose interest.

Thanks for all the replies guys, still working on it but I have a more clear vision of what I want to put on there now.

Another question, I was planning on charging a flat rate of $499 for web design for these businesses but would you say that is to low?
