my "welcome to the internet" moment today...checked out Google Docs

So I'm new to IM (apparently the internet too) and have used various resources to get programs, free trials and such. My ms office trial ran out and I have been in need of word and excel. Checked out google docs and they have an excel program right there !!!

Started looking at other docs offered and they had forms for slideshows, contact, quote, seo consulting, project management, charts, ...you get the picture. All customizable ready to use templates with different headers, colors, designs. You can use a already created template and customize it to say what you want.

It's embarrassing but I'm posting this for some of the people like me that are new and have asked questions about what type of documents people use or how to set them up. This is a free resource that lets you customize it and embed it into you site. Please GOD don't let me be the only one

    There's more people than you realize that will read this thread and THANK YOU for your post. The thing is, most people won't post things like this because "they think that everyone here knows this already"!

    That isn't necessarily true!

    Thank you for the kind words JMB ! I'm used to other forums where you expose your faults and get FLAMED for life. Not that I haven't seen this here too, but I have little to contribute because of my lack of experience. I just want to give back what I can, however insignificant, because of all the great information and help I see others give.

    I use openoffice.org. It comes pre-installed with ubuntu. Haven't used a microsoft product in quite some time now. funny, my computer hasn't crashed in forever, either. coincidence?
