A friend and I finally decided to get our feet wet in cold calling.

We made a total of 5 calls, 2 of them were interested, 1 didnt pick up, and the other two were awfully rude..

LOL

Not bad for a days work, we just decided to do this and take action, rather than spend too much of our time overanalyzing the situation..

What do you think?

how long did it take to make those 5 calls? Shouldnt have taken any longer than 10 minutes. 5 Calls is low for a whole day's work, you guys shouls be pumping out a fairly large number of calls per day to maximize your chances or finding a sale. Set aside a full hour of nothing but calling. Have the numbers in front of you, dont waste time between calls, hang up and start dialing, even interested calls shouldnt take longer than 3 minutes. You should be able to make at least 20 calls an hour, things should start moving much faster, do that for one full week each day you should have a sale before the week ends. Me personally, I set aside 2 hours each day for calls. One hour in the morning right before they started to get going and one hour at the end of the work day.

Even I do not agree with the cold calling technique, I think it is important to start doing something at some point congratulations.

well for a test your end result 2/5 is good. if you can keep up that ratio and increase the calls then kudos

Some mornings you hit one on your first call... and some mornings you still havent hit one on your 100th... and you get your sales at the END of the journey... Always nice to get them first thing!
