Suggestions for this client

I had a Chiropractor email me today about setting up a WP site and blog. I thought he wanted it for his Chiropractor business because he doesn't have anything online for that, but he wants this site for exercise/nutrition. He's a health fanatic and works out daily and wants to create something big with this, but told me he doesn't know how or what to do, but he wants it to be huge. He wants to show people how you can stay active without needing much equipment or a gym membership. He said he'd also like to get people invovled (though I'm not sure what he meant by that). Says he also wants nutrition on his site, not just about exercise. Anyway, I was thinking other then the WP site/blog and a FB Fan page, what would you all suggest for this client? If he wants to create a lot of buzz quickly for his site. He already bought the domain, which is a great one, but does not have hosting. Thanks!

Oh and I'm also going to talk to him about his Chiropractor business because he has no online presence other the wrong location on yellowpages because they've since moved.

    Offer a video. Then rank the video at the top of Google for certain types of keywords!. But it depends if he is targeting his local area or the whole world!

    You can offer to continue ranking his video every month for an additional $397-$497 per month.

    Along with the Video, create a Twitter account and Follow people in the health/wellness field. Have him provide good content so that the Twitter and Facebook Pan page people will read it. Also populate the Facebook Fan Page with health/wellness people.
    People like to follow the leader and read good content online so they can share it with their friends.
    Optimize the site as well to rank on the keywords he is looking for. Lots can be done here.

      Video sounds great, thanks! What price range would you charge for WP site/blog/video/twitter/FB Fan Page? Would I charge separate to write articles for the site or include that in the price of creating it? Same with the video, would I charge separately for that, as well?

    I'd consider adding a membership and possibly a classified ad plugin in addition to helping him monetize his site. And I'd charge between $2,000-4,000 including front end site seo. You can figure out what you want to include such as content (which you could write or populate easily), a matching FB and Twitter account. Plan on helping him promote his site and a You Tube channel - showing him how easy he can create valuable online assets (30-60 videos). If he wants to do alot of video programming he could even consider a free IPTV channel like on TV Knob. But that would most likely be a long term goal.

    The membership and classified sections can be free, help with more activity and interaction and local promotion and recognition. One they're built up he could charge for them.

    yes, he needs a biz website - sell him on the cross leverage too between the sites. The fitness site can be a good community resource that helps grow his chiro practice too.
