Now, I need to get some clients. I am looking to start out with mainly mobile websites as that seems to be new and the future for businesses. Unfortunately, due to lack of transportation and support from family and friends, I can not have face-to-face meetings with potential clients, but I can utilize email, telephone, Skype, and online meeting software.
My question is this.
What kind of script should I use to get to the owner, and what should I say on the phone to get them interested?
My plan is:
1) Cold call, get their email and email them a one page mock-up of what their site would look like along with mobile website stats and info. Send invisible tracking link inside the email to tell when they have opened it.
2) Follow up with a call ASAP after they open the email asking what they think of the one page mock-up. Ask if they would be interested in a mobile site as I am just starting out and can offer a special discounted price.
3) If necessary, virtual meeting will take place and any questions are answered.
4) Client pays 1/2 up front, I deliver the mobile website and install code, I receive the other 1/2
How does this all sound? PLEASE make comments, corrections, and suggestions.
Also, what free online meeting software do you recommend? Thanks!
