Mobile Site on Godaddy hosting

I am ready to have mobile site upload on the Godaddy account. The customer doesn't have a normal hosting account at Godaddy. He has the package where he built a Godaddy site. Can you upload a mobile on this hosting????

Hostgator is so inexpensive I would just open an account with them and use it for your client - at $3-5 dollars a month, just add that cost to your client's bill.

Hostgator hosting (or many others) is a much superior solution for hosting than godaddy whose specialty is domains.

Is there anyway to upload it on this account without him having to pay Godaddy for another mthly service?

Absolutely just create a folder called mobile and upload.

Thanks Quentin. I always use Hostgator so I am not that familiar with Godaddy hosting. Normally, how long does it take for the site to go live once all the files are uploaded in Godaddy hosting?

the best and most used way to do this is to make a subdomain on your client's current domain.
For example, if your client has www.clientsite.com make a subdomain of m.clientsite.com

If you look, most all authority websites that actually have a mobile site do it this way. They don't usually buy an extra domain.

If you run into probs getting this done, convince your client to host both sites somewhere else...on your reseller hosting.

You can do the subdomain but I am not sure how Godaddy works. If you can this is the best way. If not do the folder thing. Should go live imediately.

My mobile designer says that still won't work. I will pay someone $10 to help me get around it. Any advice?

Can you log into his hosting via ftp. If so then you can upload the mobile site. If not then you will have to find another solution.

lol ... I wouldn't touch a godaddy install for anything less than $1,000. Godaddy is the worst hosting and the hosting support is non-existent.
