Facebook "check In" query

Hi, can anyone advise me about getting the "check in" app to an offline clients fan page. For instance when you first create the fan page do you need to put it under the "places" section if you want "check in" to work or will it work if you created a brand/product page under category "website" even if its a pizza parlour created under the brand/product page is it possible to get the "check in" to work there? Hope someone can help sorry if this sounds incomprehensible!

  • If I understand your question correctly all you have to do to create a new check in location is go to check in on your mobile phones facebook app (you need to be actually at the business premises), search for the company and when it is not found the app will give you the option to add the new location. The map will already be displayed with your location you just need to type in a name and description.
