Coffee Business name...Final Poll!!!

Okay, I do understand that Drew's Java Brews was a favorite. However, I've decided there is too much name competition. Drew's Coffee Brews, Drew's Brews...etc. Those are already taken. Plus I would like something more unique then just my name slapped on with keywords. What I have listed above I have narrowed down to. Below I've given reasons that I have for the names:

1) Five Seas Coffee - One of the main reasons this coffee will be superior is that the beans come from literally ALL over the world! I believe the word "seas" also annotates that this coffee has traveled around the world, even freshness and quality comes into view here as well.

2) Java Bomb - I like this simply for the bold name approach. My coffee will have a HUGE variety of explosive flavors. Problem I see is the word "bomb". Could there be shipping problems with "bomb" on the packaging slip? Google search issues? I don't know.

3) Unlabeled Coffee - I came up with this idea of a coffee without a label. Well, the coffee without a label is the label! Interesting, possibly memorable as well. Most likely would appeal to younger age customers rather than older.

4) Unique Blends Coffee - Although generic, this name does give the literal definition of this coffee. I do have rather "unique" blends compared to other popular roasting companies. Again, beans from all over the world...100% Arabica beans...lots of different flavors and types for everyone to enjoy.

5) Keyword...Coffee - This is still somewhat ambiguous to me. Not sure how to approach this name as well. (Keyword) Coffee...something like that. The reason for this name is that this coffee can be whatever people want it to be. Awesome, Fresh, Quality, Amazing...terrible...whatever people what to title it they can. I was thinking of having a blank spot with a little "keyword" written underneath and "coffee" next to the blank spot.

----This will be my last poll...have at it guys. Vote and leave feedback if you like!

The word bomb has a negative connotation IMHO. Maybe it is just me. But I would not buy the product with that name.

I say your name should be all depending on your keyword analysis. At least that is where I would start. Because maybe there would be less competition than others or that there will be a higher searching or CPC might be better.

If your worried about SEO I'd do the work up front to help you wherever you can get it.

    2 cents,
    Fred

Glad to see you expanded on identifying and recognizing your uniqueness within your business name.

IMO Five Seas Coffee is a start, but might lead your clients to believe that it is some sort of water-based product? (hydroponic coffee beans perhaps)

What is the target market, or niche, that you are looking to attract towards this new coffee business of yours?

Please do not say "everyone," since that is the downfall of most businesses.

Starbucks serves a different "type of coffee drinker" than the person who would be more than happy to buy a cheap bucket o' beans from Wal-Mart and do it themself at home.

Is there a market that exists that is looking for a more global source of new flavors and tastes?

Is your pricing going to be higher, lower, on par with Starbucks? McDonald's? etc.

I honestly think the name is the last thing you should be focused on, and instead I'd be more curious to see your marketing strategy for targeting and getting in front of your target market...

Otherwise no name on Earth will really make a difference...

    More 2 Cents

Ok, I'm going to give my 3 cents worth since DEXX gave 2 cents and I always find his comments right on...so I'm upping the ante...LOL!!!

I love coffee as much as the next coffee addict! However, what is your USP (unique selling position)? That's what you need to figure out! I'm going to assume that you know what your doing, done your research, have a business plan, etc...

You responded to a comment and said some words about what differentiates your idea or coffee product from others... your USP!

"What I can say about my coffee is that the beans come from all over the world...Uganda, Jamaica, Vietnam, Columbia...etc. We use only 100% Arabica coffee beans...not like many other "popular" brands that mix in Robusta beans. Explosive flavors, varieties of blends...and when it has shipped to you it was roasted within 24-48 hours! Talk about fresh!"

Take what you said and believe about your product and therein lies your name!

Did a quick check on GoDaddy and these names are avaliable:

      explosiveflavorcoffee.com
      talkaboutfreshcoffee.com
      explosiveblends.com

Just a few examples but I hope you get the idea! Use your imagination, and good luck my friend!

    Guys,

The name is one of the MOST important aspects of naming a business! Don't take this advice and put it on the back burner.

Your name should embody your brand, your name should embody your mission and vision.

Now, I don't like any of the names you've chosen. = ) No offense please.

Retro is coming back so why not simply call it Drew's Joe or some variation of Joe.

Its brings back memories of the old days, and do you know the history behind why coffee is called Joe? = ) You can build a whole aura around using that word. Joe coffee, its as American as apple pie and baseball!

Use a name that builds a brand and you'll get raving fans, use a name that's just ho hum and that's the kind of following you'll get. Coffee's Coffee, but not all Coffee is Joe coffee.

PS: There is a domain available with joe and coffee in it by the way. If your interested PM me.

I thought how about Java Blends or Unique Blends... those are the two that came to mind.

... Cafe Java Blends (the e should have an accent "egu" on it).

Five Seas Coffee sounds kind of disgusting to me - I wouldn't want my coffee to be contaminated with sea water.

The thought of sea water gives me the creeps

Even though some warriors here are okay with that name,
it's always gonna bother some customers,
so why start a new business with a negative?

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a Warrior named Bob. He was sad. And frustrated. You see, Warrior Bob spent every last nickel on Internet Marketing e-books. But nothing panned out. No traffic. No sales. He was one sad Bob. Then one day Bob found a bottle. He rubbed it and out came a Genie who granted him 3 wishes. For Wish #1 Bob asked for a pet Dragon. Wish Granted. For Wish #2, Bob wanted Warriors' websites seen by 53 million TV viewers, for under $5 per broadcast. The Genie said... (click here)

Take those 5 names and run 5 google adwords ads. See which gets the most hits. Rather easy test to do. All u need is about 30 hits to declare a winner. Cost? maybe $10 to $15 to find out the winner.

I suggest that you go for Five Seas Coffee. It sounds better, it's more appealing and it's safer than Java Bomb and others. But it also sounds similar to brands having Five Seas. I was thinking about coffeelogy, coffeetrix.
