Offline Business diversification ideas

Hello fellow Warriors,

I have a company in Brazil (where I live) that is based on one kind of alternative media (that is, using bread packages as media). I've been thinking that I should have more products to offer; that one product I have is based on a franchise, but I'd like to have more to offer, since I'm already contacting clients and talking to them about their publicity.

So, what should I do/offer?

I've been looking at mobile marketing, but I really have no technical skills whatsoever.

Any ideas will do!

Thanks for your help

Leandro

A great addition to that, IMHO, would be online marketing - particularly local search and mobile stuff. You could do SEO, build facebook pages, etc.

You could outsource most of the work, but it seems like a natural fit.

That would be an idea to follow, no doubt, but, as I said, I have very, very little knowledge, so that's a little scary for me, ya know?

Is it possible to know the keywords searched for my city only?

About outsourcing that kind of work, how expensive would it be? Can I find guys to to that here, on the forum? Would it be fullly customizable (since they need to be in portuguese)?

    Thanks a lot

I used to offer a done-for-you newsletter service.

Basically, it was a generic newsletter that the company could customize with their own information, coupons, etc.

The info was stuff like: Ten tips for saving on your heating bill, weird news, and other general, simple and fun stuff to read.

It was printed on a double-sided 8.5 x 11 postcard, so it really stood out being an over-sized postcard.

I limited the newsletter distribution so that two of the same type of businesses wouldn't be able to subscribe.

I charged a monthly fee and printed them myself. However, you could make a deal with a print shop to get a commission for making referrals.

You can also charge more for handling everything for them from the customization, to the printing, and finally, the mailing.

There are many benefits to mailing out a monthly newsletter, but most businesses don't have the time or money to do it themselves. Following this plan, it's inexpensive and it's done for them.

I think this an excellent additional service for offline clients and you'll find there's plenty of easy to find and fun information you can fill up two sides of a postcard with.

Hey Zack, that's a nice idea as well!

Do you happen to have those newsletters yet?
