Hey guys,

Do Google local listings work the same in a place like Mexico?

I don't see that many results for local searches but there are a few.

Thanks,

~Sean

The principles are generally the same and the ranking factors are similar. There is a major difference in terms of the places where Google is getting the trust factor for the business data from. These places are different for each country. In the US they are InfoUSA, Axciom, Localeze, Supermedia, Yellowpages, Kudzu, etc. In Australia these are Truelocal, Yellowpages Australia, etc. In UK - QYPE, Truelocal, Freeindex etc. I do not specialize in Mexico, but there should be such places as well. These are the so-called "trusted data suppliers" for Google Places.

You don't see that many results, because there aren't so many listings created. Which type of business niche are you specifically interested in?
