Is anyone else seeing this change with Google Places?
I am in the Myrtle Beach area and I just set up a new Places listing for a client today. When I finished I noticed that only the basic info and the photos I put up were displaying. Nothing about hours, additional details or anything else. It just looked bare boned.
Then I went and looked at more Place pages for the area and they are all the same. I can see Google is doing some cosmetic work on the layout so maybe it is temporary. But I also know sometime ago there were whispers that Google may be looking to charge businesses to post an "enhanced" listing. Didn't give it much thought then, but am really hoping that isn't what I'm seeing now.
I know they just got hundreds of "getonline" domains (i.e. Texas Get Your Business Online! and am wondering if they plan on muscling in now. Sure hoping not, or at least will hope that the cost is nominal if that is the case.
