That idea could definitely work. The whole key is taking action - try it and adjust as necessary. I go into local businesses daily and use a "gift" to break the ice(QR Code). Make sure and get dentist info name, email, other ways to contact if you can't introduce ourself right then. Become a trusted advisor to these potential clients and not a salesman and with perseverance you will succeed. Do the website as well - as many sales channels as possible will always help. Good Luck
PS Check Alibaba.com for other potential suppliers and discounted closeouts
of products to resell.
This may be obvious, but sometimes we overlook obvious, so I'll say it. Order one set of the 144 and do the free/postcard thing BEFORE stocking them. I say this because I have kids, who have been to 3 different dentists (in moves) and they have gotten these in 3 states. The dental offices have those toy boxes etc, and everyone knows about oriental trading company...especially teachers, doctors, daycares, and dentists. You may run into a good bit that don't have these tooth savers, but I assure you, having been an office manager, they will hear/see your idea and will immediately look and see the better price online.
I do still think you'll sell some, but I wouldn't suggest you fill your house up with boxes hoping to sell them all. Maybe order as they order and give them a 1 week turnaround.
Great idea, maybe if you did some type of stamp/foiled lettering? That may set yours apart, but it would depend on the ROI.
Honestly it seems like an awful lots of work (calling, driving, waiting to meet dentist or office manager, etc) just to make a quick buck. This is what I call making money the hard way. Just my two pence
I understand what your saying and that's why i said in my past post i think this idea would work well by sending out a sales letter with a website they can order from and that way there is no waste of time driving around, meeting with people, etc.
