On Amazon Credit Card In Hand - What Is The Best Marketing Book You Have Read

Hey, I thought that for me to be able to talk the talk and have more of an understanding of business marketing it would be good for me to educate myself a little bit more by purchasing a couple of hardback books on the subject.

I am over at Amazon now looking at a few, can anyone give any suggestions as to what they think is a great marketing book.

Lots to choose from

Do a search for Jay Abraham and Dan Kennedy, pretty much any of their books will get you great results.

Is there something specific you are looking to learn or an area you are struggling with?

    That's the more important question.

I just started reading it to see what all the fuss is about; very interesting so far. Going to do the Pareto test on my life later this evening, see what I can uncover.

The 4 hour workweek is good, but I thought it deals a lot with outsourcing and drop shipping...

"The Tipping PointThe Tipping Point " by Malcolm Gladwell is awesome and I would pick that up ASAP!

The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire. Just as a single sick person can start an epidemic of the flu, so too can a small but precisely targeted push cause a fashion trend, the popularity of a new product, or a drop in the crime rate. This widely acclaimed bestseller, in which Malcolm Gladwell explores and brilliantly illuminates the tipping point phenomenon, is already changing the way people throughout the world think about selling products and disseminating ideas.

Scientific Advertising rocked my world... but you can get that free. You'll get good mileage out of Breakthrough Advertising (Schwartz) or Winning Through Intimidation (Ringer).

Ringer's book is technically a sales book, but you'd find it hard not to be a better marketer after reading it.
