Nissan + EPA + DOT + QR Codes = $$$

Ok, for all of you QR code fans who want to sell them to auto dealerships here is some news you could use.

If you want to make money with this offer then the time to act is now.

Why?

Because you only have until the year 2013 to get the dealerships to join in before it becomes mandatory for the QR code to be on all vehicle window stickers whereby you will no longer be needed to make them up for dealerships.

Read the article here:

Nissan first to place QR codes on window stickers ahead of 2013 mandate

For those of you who are quick on your feet there is a big opportunity here still for you...but only if you act fast.

By developing a new sales angle you can still make a sale to dealerships now.

Take note at how in the article nissan is positioning themselves ahead of the curve.

Think about how if you presented that article to a ford dealership. Could you use the nissan advantage to your advantage at the ford dealership?

By pointing out, 'Hey look at what the nissan down the street is doing right now to take cash carrying customers right away from you" "I can help you stop that from happening"

If you pay attention to the article closely, it also answers the question as to what you can put on the QR Code for dealerships.

      Hello smartgirl1,

Well, as far as scripts go I really don't have one.

Being that I'm a friendly guy for me striking up a conversation with people is pretty easy.

Plus I guess it doesn't hurt either that I'm a copywriter by trade and have learned over the years how to just simply start talking to people.

In general though I can give you a few things for you to keep in mind.

First off, people don't like to be sold. However they do like to buy as long as they feel as though they came to that decision on their own. So if you come in sounding like a salesperson, then their defenses go up.

Secondly, you have to keep in mind that it's just conversation. You're trying to find out if what you have will interest them. Now if you've done your research then you already know that they should be interested in it. But even if you haven't done all of your research then its a matter of if they are interested then you move on to the next step. If they are not you move on.

Your goal is to first find interested people. That's it. Don't try to sell them the whole kit and kaboodle in one shot. Move them along with little steps and the sale will come.

      As a side note.

Recently I've been going over my copywriting notes because there are so many people who have a problem with knowing what to say to prospects and how it should be structured that I have considered putting together a chart that I use for determining what should or shouldn't go into a letter. And strange as it may seem, what I use as a structure for a copywriting salesletter can also be used for any kind of sales situation pitch or offer.

      For example.

What I've found is that the same way that I open a salesletter is the very same structure that can be used to open up your pitch.

I first determine the load of my letter. What do I want my audience to think feel or decide?

The same thing can be said for your sales pitch. What would you like them to think, feel or decide about your offer.

Then I determine the level of interest. Will the person reading my letter have a natural level of self interest or not. If so I continue to the third part of the structure. If not then before I write anything I must first find something that they will be interested in that I can use to hold their attention.

With my structure your offer, pitches, salesletters or whatever you have will literally write itself. You would know when to use persuasion and when not to and where you should use it at. When to use an argument an when not to and where it should go. And a bunch of other goodies. So basically you would know what kind of info you need and where it should be placed in what you're offering in order to have the best impact and to have the best chance to make the sale. Whether it be online, offline, face to face or over the phone.

But there would have to be enough people interested in this in order for me to create it.

OMG! I have been lurking around WF for quite sometime and heard how helpful warriors are but NO, you guys are not only helpful, You are simply AMAZING. Thank you so much for taking the time out and explaining in such great detail. I was very nervous about starting this new offline business. I still am a bit but I know I'll be okay with all you warriors around. Hats off to you!! You don't even know me and yet took time to write such lengthy post. Thanks again. Much confusion is cleared up inregards to my sales pitch. I'd definitely be interested in having a peek at the chart and hope other ppl will be too.

        Regards

        Simi

Interesting article so thanks for that - but - I would assume most dealers with get the newly updated stickers from the companies that provide them their current stickers, no?

Not to say it can't be done, but I think there's more to printing up the new stickers than many would be able to do.

In any event, the new stickers and examples of how Nissan are using QR codes for other promotions are great things to show prospects you want to sell QR services to. :-)

    Cheers - and thanks again!
