How on earth do they get these stats? I mean really, how can they track that sort of thing? Sometimes I think a few of these figures are just coming out of their you know what.

I heard an important statistic the other day. It said that 99% of the statistics ComScore come up with should be taken with a grain of salt

Well that may be true Will however my Australian stats show that scanning rates have increased incredibly over the last few months.

I also know that our call rate through our QR Codes site has also increased a huge amount.

Of course this in mainly in the major cities and not so much in the country areas.

I had been monitoring the QR code stats in Europe from different sources and their use is growing very rapidly. I have a restaurant client who has more visitors to his mobile site (through the QR codes on all his publicity materials) than his regular website. The regular website was created about three years back but the mobile friendly site was put up in April this year.

QR codes are getting more and more traction every day. Major companies are also including QR in their online banner advertising. This is how effective its becoming, if your not on the QR code bandwagon you better!

I agree with Rus. Offering Mobile Websites linked to a QR Code is what blew up my local offline marketing and took me to the next level.

I started out doing SEO and then quickly moved to Reputation Management, but those clients are all acquired remotely (i.e. I do my sales presentations using GoToMeeting.com), but when I started contacting and visiting local businesses and doing a demo where I scan a QR Code that goes to a sample mobile website that I create, business owners get so excited for it. I've noticed in my market that more people are offering these services, but I'm still going to ride the gravy train for as long as I can!

I received 2 letters the other day from well known companies and each one had a QR code on the front of the envelope.

That is the tactic I've been preaching here for some time now. Its like Christmas when they see you scan a code and it takes them to a mobile site. Its even more effective if you can use their phone.
