I need to set one of my clients up with sms. I need to have their customers text a keyword to a short or long code, and get a coupon and opt in in return. These 2 seem to be the most affordable.

Which one would you recommend for what my client needs. Any pros and cons would be also helpful. Thanks

I use txt180 and their service is very easy to use and tells you if a keyword for their shortcode is taken before you even sign up. You can buy more keywords for an extra $2 month, and you can add more messages whenever you want. They seem to be very competitive with prices from other places I've seen.

Yes it is, it has very straight forward icons and instructions when you're logged into the site as a member. Nothing complicated.

Txt180 is great! I've only been a member for about a month but everything has been very easy to implement. They also have some cool features....for instance I have a keyword for my SMS campaign that I use to "Demo" to local business owners.

When they text in my keyword, I get an instant e-mail forwarded to my phone notifying me that I have a new opt in...then guess what? I have a business owners personal cell phone number...I give them a quick call thanking them for trying out the demo....set up an appt and close.

You guys are all missing the point.
    (IMO)

The question was txt180 or YeeZ.
    apples and oranges

here's a few reasons to look at Yeez for yourself. Don't take my word for it.

    1) txt180 is selling you ONE keyword. YeeZ offers unlimited Keywords
you do segment your lists don't you?
you do track your lead sources right?
1 KW will not cut it

    2) I saw nothing at txt180 that talks about "campaigns". YeeZ is all about best use in a niche and using specific "campaigns" to dramatically increase ROI in an easily measurable way. If you are a consultant, you'll know why that's important. If you're just trying to satisfy the whim of a client w/o understanding the power of SMS and segmented lists, then I guess it doesn't matter.

    3) SHORT CODES are at least twice the cost to the client because you'll get charged for outgoing AND INCOMING texts. LONGCODES are perfect under most circumstances and YeeZ does not charge for incoming texts.

    Read that again.

You do want your client to ENGAGE with their customers, right? Otherwise, it's more like blasting Push Marketing to an opt-in list. Your conversions will suffer.
But... if you set up campaigns that encourage Mobile based responses, the end-user will feel more comfortable and respond more often - including more visits to store and more in-store redemptions.

    You do want that, right?

Hey - just my two cents. Do your research on YeeZ and even ask to speak to someone high up, like the Pres if you're serious about being a remarkable marketing consultant. That's what I did anyway...

    Good luck in your quest.

I'm new here - can't PM yet. I'll check back every few days and see if I can answer some specific questions though.

    Gil

    PS
    I do use YeeZ
and I've been selling SMS services for 3 years via 4 different SMS platforms.
I am most happy with YeeZ

I just recently decided to go with Yeez. I did alot of research and went back and forth on multiple companies.

The fact that Yeez offers unlimitted keywords is what sealed the deal for me. Sure some think that long codes are not as user friendly as short codes, but in my opinion people are more comfortable with long codes as they are familiar with phone numbers.

Plus, I have yet to see any noticable difference in speed when using long codes locally.

Another great part about Yeez is their customer service. Jay, has gone above and beyond helping me get started.

They offer some great modules already built in and ready to go and they are always updating and expanding their service.

I think Yeez is a no brainer here.

I signed up with Yeez a couple of weeks ago and I have to say their program is really above others I have looked at.

The long codes allow you more flexibility, unlimited keywords, many different campaigns, unlimited lists and different QR system that sets them apart from the others. The Sports Squares module gives you a module no one else offers and is a great door opener.

Jay is a great help. He has put together some great webinars, plus he is always available to help and answer questions, even some dumb ones. They really go out of their way to help.

I highly recommend Yeez. Great white label program from great people at excellent pricing. Short codes are nice, but expensive and very limiting. I echo all the above posts on Yeez.

Have to put my vote in for Yeez. Their system gives you plenty of options in building customer campaigns and the support is amazing. I'm a Yeez reseller and can tell you from being involved with other sms providers that Yeez goes above and beyond in not only delivering a great product, but in supporting their resellers with great technical info and marketing advice. You're not just getting an sms provider, you're getting a partner in building an sms marketing business or adding sms to an existing marketing solution.

TXT180 also now has a white label program as well. You pay a yearly fee to make your own sms business using their services. Your customers won't know you are using txt180, they will be using "your business" for the sms marketing.

      YeeZ update:

White Label and Private Label programs are available

      Long and Short codes available

Mobile Website Builder CMS available - my clients love this

Private Label/White Label forum (free) available for MasterMinding (with company sponsored contests that inspire creative sharing of campaign ideas)

Instructional webinars and videos (live and then made available in your back office) - often including specific campaigns that work.

don't take my word for it - try it.

OK, I was sold on YeeZ for a while, but TXT180 looks good as well, at least for short codes. Now I'm more confused than ever and I'm starting to get OVERANALYZED PARALYZED.

I just want a platform with a decent amount of features that most clients will want/need at a price that is not raping my bank account each month. HELP!

I'm in the same boat, when it comes down to it. I don't know how much of a headache it is to do this (anyone please advise) but what if you trial one then the other to see what you like. Is it too much of a pain in the butt to switch over a single campaign before making a final long term decision? (again, those in the know please advise).. ...so far I've heard good things about yeez, text180, and limewire.

I like YeeZ and their platform. It's really pretty powerful and uses long codes, which are a favorite among a lot of Warriors (see all the Twilio fans). I had to get a refund due to a financial issue (still waiting...) but as soon as I'm back to where I can do a white-label solution, I will probably end up going with YeeZ.

What you need is a system with a low enough price that you can make a decent margin on top.

Try MyBizMobile - MyBizMobile.com - Mobile Marketing System, Text Message Marketing

better pricing than anyone in the industry.

Jason, your site looks like it's just for retail clients. Do you offer an affiliate or reseller option? And I don't think that $29/mo for 100 credits is the best pricing in the industry. That seems high to me. Trumpia for example offers 500 credits for $25/mo. Is your system short or long code?

Yeez also gets my vote. And there should be no confusion because Yeez now offers (or within 2 weeks) shortcodes in the US and soon in Canada. And yes, for the Canadians the long codes work here in Canada (I am in Toronto) and they have many different GTA local codes and in other Canadian cities. The unlimited keywords, segmenting ability and pricing make Yeez a no brainer.

I have seriously been thinking of this myself. I understand where I have to go to get the shortcodes and the process itself. Now I am in the process of trying to find/develop the software to make it happen on the backend.

Does Yeez use SMPP or SMTP protocol to send messages?

I ask because in your literature you have a footnote indicating no more than 600 messages may be sent per hour.
