Multiple Google Places Listings...

i have three for Tannenbaum Chiropractic, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, i've requested they be removed from listings but they are still appearing, and in some cases for keywords they are showing up two times in the 7 pack.

One of them, the client claimed and verified the listing but-NOT the one one WITH the reviews, lol...

I going to send him an email saying to manually log in and remove it.

But the problem is that i think this is screwing with my rankings for sure. We've moved up considerably, but im trying to get in the top three for decently competitive word.. Also we have about a thousand basic citations, (that little piece of software that kimball guy gave us says it shows 96, but thats still about 10 more than our highest competitor) but im noticing that in some cases there are more than 1 listing showing up... how do i regulate this stuff to keep it all clean and squared away?

i've still got videos to make and some more photos to fill out, but does this multiple listing thing hurt me? and how do you regulate it?

  • you have to claim and remove the listings the right way first you suspend them then delete them in google maps then log in back to your dashboard and delete it from your google places account
if you do it the other way around the listings will be still floating around in google maps and yes it affects your rankings but having multiple listings with same info on it

thanks. im pretty sure thats the way i did it... i first suspended it, then selected the option to remove it from google maps, then deleted in from google places. i still see the listings show up tho, does it take some time to update? obviously for the one that the client claimed he'll need to delete that manually.
