Facebook SSL Requirement October 1

For those of us doing FanPages for clients, what will this new requirement mean?

How will we have to change what we do now?

Not too familiar with SSL other than needing to have it on my sites that I take credit cards on and my guy that handles that site takes care of it for me.

It just means that all your fan pages need to use https: (SSL) instead of http:

All you need to do is get SSL hosting with your hosting provider or a domain hosting provider. You only need to get one SSL setup and you can host multiple fanpages.

You can also charge your clients a monthly or yearly fee for hosting their pages.

I already hosted with JustHost and was able to get SSL setup on one of my domains at a cost of only$2.75/month extra above my normal hosting fee.

It was $12.99 for SSL Certificate from GoDaddy where my domain name was purchased.

Then I had to upgrade my domain to a dedicated IP address in order to install the SSL.

You have to go back and forth from GoDaddy to JustHost a few times which I detailed with screenshots in a pdf which is free in sig.
