How much do you charge for local business SEO

I feel with my skills I can get any website up to the top 3 for local search even without the help of google places. How much should I be charging. Obviously I want to make as much as I can but what can I realistically expect for business owners to pay. And I know that each niche is going to be different. Dentist and Lawyers will pay more but how much should a charge your average run of the mill business such as plumbers, roofers, etc...

Get a price quote from roofingcontractormarketingDotCom and share the price and any information they send you with us.

I've seen people charging $1k - $2k per month on a contract or 6 months or 12 months. Depends on the biz & how much they have allocated for this.

One thing I've seen with pricing is that if you price to cheap, you either get customers who are a pain in the ass (tight wads) or you alienate those who would like to buy a BMW or Mercedes instead of a Chevy or Ford.

I fixed a guys computer and he's paying a recurring fee every month for nothing. His seo guy got him on page 1 of google with his local listing for a keyword that gets about half a dozen monthly searches.

The guy seemed happy to continue paying and all he got was a google analytics print out once a month.

You "feel you can"....or you have already gotten a variety of websites to the top 3? Big difference there....... Each website is unique in ways....there is no A,B,C...1,2,3 formula out there that works for every website every time. Make sure you test your "I feel I can get any website" theory and make it a proven plan before boasting to local businesses and not being able to produce.....There's enough out there already who talk the talk but can not walk the walk and give the legit seo companies a bad reputation...

If you prove that you can....that would make for one hell of a WSO. Others here would pay fistfulls to get that knowledge......local businesses would to.

    Good luck,
    ~Ken

  • It really depends. Some sites like Local Splash and Yodle provide small business with map optimization for less than $300. But I think if you're going to offer more like multiple link building strategies and articles it reasonable to see that price go up. I'm confident you could do it for less than $1000 though!

Before you say your price, you must have a very good profile with examples of your best works. It is also important to have recommendations and work experience. Not your character is important (that you can manage, the best sites and so on) but the facts that you can do it the best way.
