When you send emails to get offline clients are you tracking your open rates?

I know you can track open rates with a services like Mailchimp but what if you are sending emails from your own email software?

By embedding invisbile pixel in HTML email you can tell if they open it but you still need some type of service or software to track it.

Here is one I've found Anyone using this or something different?

Hey Ron,

When I send out e-mails, I use either MailChimp or AWeber, depending on how the person got added to my list. I tend to avoid sending unsolicited e-mails because I've found that very few get opened and even fewer lead to sales.

With that said, I like the idea of using a pixel in an HTML e-mail and tracking that way. It's unobtrusive and seems like it would work. I would recommend adding cold calling to your client acquisition strategy if you aren't doing so already. It is by far the best way to get clients.
