QUIT Calling Businesses After Hours To Leave Voicemails!!!

Now I don't think there's anything wrong with leaving voice mails for businesses to call you back. In fact it is a viable method that I know works and you can find it mentioned in several threads here where other people say it works for them.

I'd just like to point out a "tool" that I've used to call a business during the day and go directly to voicemail...

It's called Slydial and can be found at Welcome - slydial

IT SAYS THAT IT IS ONLY FOR MOBILE PHONES BUT I HAVE USED IT TO REACH VOICEMAILS ON SEVERAL LANDLINES

Of course I have NO IDEA if it works on all landlines or if it will work on landlines for you, but I'm just saying it has worked for me.

It works like this (directly from their site):

  1. Dial 267-SLYDIAL (267-759-3425) from any landline or mobile phone.
  2. At the voice prompt, enter the U.S. mobile phone number of the person you want to slydial.
  3. You will be directly connected to their voicemail. Leave them a voicemail, sit back and relax.

You'll have to listen to advertising, but you can use it for FREE

If you want to skip the advertising just pay for the very reasonably priced Premium Service Plan like $30/ year or $3/month

Just thought I'd share this for people that do the voicemail strategy. AGAIN I CAN'T PROMISE THIS WILL WORK WITH LANDLINES YOU CALL BUT IT WORKED FOR SEVERAL LANDLINES I CALLED.

Also some of the small businesses we're dealing with use cell phones as their business phone anyway.

If you don't want to dial numbers one by one they have a link on their homepage for another service called badodi badodi Communication to your clients the smart way that does like a voicemail blast and will leave voicemails for $.30 (thirty cents) a piece. It also says its for mobile phones only.

Hope this helps some people.

Thanks for the tip Conrad -
1 question - does it confuse people when they check their VM and they know their phone didn't ring?
    3M

I use Slydial as well. When I do use it rarely do I get a response about how they missed the call.

Same response as James. The only person that really questioned it so far has been my wife lol when I called the house phone. On cell phones I think people are probably used to missing calls and getting voicemails. At least its happened me a couple of times. If they ask anything I just say, "It went straight to voicemail." which is true

Or you could say you didn't want to disturb them during business hours so you called directly to their voicemail. I just thought of that one lol. Of course I'd only use that line if it's a true statement. You'd hate to start the relationship off with a lie

and of course if they ask how you called directly to their voicemail, again hit them with the truth, "It's a service I use." Then ask them a question of course to regain control of the conversation. Remember they called back for a reason and seem like a pretty hot lead. As long as you don't leave a message like "Call me to win $1M!!" then try to pitch them on something.

Sorry not saying that you would do anything like that 3M or that you even needed advice past what was already said...

My juices just got flowing about if I do have to really answer questions about them missing the call. So far "It went straight to voicemail" has worked fine for me with no real questions.
