Australian Prime Minister calls for Offline Warriors.

...well, sort of anyway.

This morning I woke to hear our illustrious Prime Minister on the news broadcasts telling everyone that almost 50% of all Australian businesses do not have a website yet. She said "if customers can't find you on the internet how will they find you"? (or words to that effect).

We're rolling out fibre to every house down here in Australia and the opposition say it's a colossal waste of money because it could be done much cheaper and even though I agree, it has certainly given everyone an internet focus.

Now, when the Prime Minister (Australia's highest office - equivalent to "The President") starts telling people to "get websites for their businesses" I expect that would be the ultimate quote when approaching new businesses for a website. So all us Aussies need to make sure we say "The Prime Minister said you should have a website and I'm here to deliver it. Let's get started."

Just thought it was interesting...

    Like her or not (and let's not go there) but having her tell people to get a website can't hurt anyone in here...lol who are we to disagree? Keep talking us up - I say.

      I thought the same thing "here we go, she's going to start handing out free websites...great" but no, she seemed to be urging businesses to get a website. I've been trying to find the actual quote. If I do I'll post it here.
