I am not sure if this was posted already...

But I went to my local subway today to get in a quick lunch (6inch no foot longs :-p) Anyways they had a new paper full of ads on top of a trash can. I picked up one and just sat down and started eating and looking at all the ads who had websites.

Well there was 5 ads with websites.. about 20-25 ads without even a website. I checked out the 5 ads on my phone and none of them were mobile ready. So I sat there and I emailed all 5 websites. Landed two of the 5 already for mobile websites. In that little bit of time I successfully sold 2 mobile websites. And I took the list of 20-25ish ads with no websites and just went down the list calling them.

I told them I saw there ad on the news paper ad page. I asked them why they didn't have a website. Most said no time for it or they weren't in the market. Well I told them as a local design company I was willing to create them a site for free. Out of 25 ads I converted 4 free websites today.

How did I make money on this? Well I had them sign up to my hosting packages ($120 a year) And slapped them together a website from a nice wordpress theme. So in a day I walked away with 2 mobile site clients, and 4 free wordpress websites (but 4 year long hosting packages.)

So add it up.

4freewebsites + year of hosting x $120 = $480
2 mobile sites = $400

total = $880


$880 today just by picking up a little ad book and calling businesses and looking at there current websites. If this method has been said I am sorry I just started doing it and this is where I ended up today. Hopefully my share will help some new IMs out today!
