1 in 8 converts. How can I reword this?

(First I must apologize. I'm a little intoxicated.)

Okay so I am trying to build a flier that informs clients of the benefits of my SMS service. I've been advised to have it in big bold text on the flier telling how well it works instead of how cost efficient it is.

So instead of "Only 4c per text!" I want to stress that 1 in 8 converts. But I think it would be more intriguing to the potential clients if I went deeper and turned that into something like "Would you pay 8c to make a sale?"

Do you see what I'm getting at? I want to state that (statistically) it will only cost 8c to make a conversion on my clients offer. But I don't know how to word it in a way that would be appealing and sound professional.

Input?

Personally, I would never state in an ad that it only costs 8 cents to make a conversion, or make a sale on an offer.

That can do nothing but set you up to fail.

Here's my $80.00 for your sms blast, where's my 1000 customers?

I would state something like; SMS Marketing has the highest read rate of all advertising media.

SMS Marketing converts, it's quick, it's easy, and it's affordable.

Well I'm just looking to use it as a statistic. It's like simplifying the percentage to a dollar(penny) amount. If the statistic is 12% that's 1/8, then that means that on average (with this statistic) 8c will get you a conversion.

Just for the record, this is just the statistic I have heard from several people.

My favorite stat is that 97% of text messages are opened. Here is a good article from NY times. Then you can say thats where you got facts for more credibility.

Keep it simple like digital media has stated. It will be your gut instinct to want to overwhelm them with all this BAD ASS info on a flier. From my experience, Your regular small businesses owners dont respond to WSO type pitches and call from a flier with a credit card in hand.

    Good luck.

I would read this article, I had about ten flyer ideas by the time I was done reading it.

Alright, guys. Then set me straight. How should I build my flier? I want the big punch-line to stress how efficient it is. (I'm sure over 97% of text messages are opened. I have a hard time believing that one.) But I want it to sound professional.

My other problem is that my work always ends up being really wordy and probably harsh on the eyes. Suggestions?

  • "According to an Article in The New York Times,

Thanks to regulatory quirks, however, SMS is still a relatively uncluttered and spam-free marketing channel. It’s also the one form of communication that many people are tethered to 24/7. Which helps explain why, at a time when in-boxes fill with hundreds of never-opened e-mail messages from direct marketers, 97 percent of all SMS marketing messages are opened (83 percent within one hour), according to the latest cell-carrier research.

Of course, that article is from 2009, and you don't have a statistic for the 12%...but...

"sources report" always works for the spin doctors...What sources? Who knows!
