Hi everyone,

Many of you have shared some great questions on threads where I've been asked about or offered sales advice. I've had an idea for awhile that could help fellow Warriors, and wonder if it's time to put it into action:

A FREE sales training webinar FOR WARRIORS ONLY hosted by yours truly.

I plan on going over:

what's wrong with traditional selling
how you can move to a different method to have more FUN!
what you can do to be more comfortable and effective in selling.

After that, we could do some Q&A. The whole thing could be an intense hour or hour and a half. At the end, we'd just hang up and go back to our lives--no products to buy or pitches of any kind.

Reply if you think this is a good idea and you'd sign up if I offer it. If you do, please also let me know whether afternoon or evening would work best.

Again, this is just a trial balloon. All I want to do is share knowledge for FREE and get some better selling techniques and feelings out there! I will not be attempting to sell anything whatsoever. This would be exactly like asking and answering questions in the forum, but with a little more time, energy and focus.

I think it's a great idea Jason and you can count me in if it comes to fruition. I have been thinking of something along the same lines in terms of a regular chatroom meeting, maybe once a week or so on IRC or Skype. Reason being that most if not all of us work on our own.

When the only feedback you get is when you look in the mirror, it could be difficult to keep things in perspective. One of the reasons that WF is so successful is for it's ability to allow all of us to exchange ideas in an "almost" real time environment.

For those of us that like to work for ourselves, it doesn't mean that we always want to be by ourselves.

As usual I've used a lot of words simply to say..."yea...great idea....let's do it!"

I think you're onto a good thing on the topic of selling because the fear of selling is a big problem for many people who want to be successful in this field.

The truth is that you can only grow your business to the level to which you grow yourself.

Selling makes people get gripped by fear, the fear of making a mistake (or many).

You'll do well if you plan it well.

Good to see the feedback so far.

@David Miller: I understand what you're saying. First I wanted to see if people were interested at all. Given that half the people who want to attend and sign up won't be able to because of something at the last minute (customer needs, have to finish an important project, etc.), I would like to see 18-20 seriously interested people comment.

So far we have 10. I would do the webinar even for 5 people if I felt they were really showing up to get the most out of it. I appreciate the comments & support of the idea from everyone who's signed up so far. Let's let the thread hang out there until tomorrow afternoon, and then I'll decide whether it's an idea that will fly or not. If so, it will happen sometime in the next 10 days. Thanks everybody!

I am thinking about the 8th or the 9th (of this month, November) to run this free webinar. Since we have interested people in the US, the UK and other parts of the world, I may run it twice at two different times if that would result in allowing more attendees.

Hi everybody,

I've decided on anymeeting.com as the host ('cause it's free) and am looking at a 6PM EST (US) time Monday or Tuesday next week--21st or 22nd.

How does this work for people? If enough of you are interested, I'll PM you for your emails (or you could send them to me at info at painfreeprofits dot com, just use the "Webinar" subject line) because anymeeting needs them to send you the signup.

Remember, Warriors Only! Free to you!

Looking forward to this! If it's a success, I'll try running another at an earlier time to accommodate our UK friends who I think are 5 hours ahead of me.

Jason are planning on recording these? As much as I would like to attend, 6PM is just not a good time. I certainly understand that it's just not possible to accomodate everyone's schedule, and I know I won't have to sit in the corner of the room if I arrive late, but, having them recorded would be great. I'm sure you probably don't need it, but I'd be glad to provide the hosting for it.

Anytime after 6pm CST normally works for me. If it is before 5pm cst I might be able to do it from my main job as sales training works for that too.

  I missed the webinar, actually I did not miss it. I was where I had to view it on my smart phone and I could not get on. I did the test, downloaded what I needed, but still could not get on. Did you happen to record it??

I can do this again later in the week or early next week if people are interested. The 8PM EST start time worked well for most, even in Australia (had a couple attendees from there, and it was the middle of the day for them).

  IDK, those are run by the free app (anymeeting) that I chose to offer it through. They do the registration page and everything else. So I guess there are a few ads. They aren't mine.
  
  I don't even know what those ads are, just clicked the link to look and they rotate. Not affiliated with me. I of course have never seen the confirmation page, since I wouldn't sign up for my own webinar.
  
  There are ads running on the right side of the app while the webinar runs, too. Again, nothing to do with me; just part of doing free business. Didn't bother a soul last night.

  I'm one of those people that's always too quick to criticize others for not doing the things that simple common courtesy dictates. Being polite seems to have gone out of fashion in many ways.
  
  Now I find myself guilty of the same thing, so I want to correct that now.
  
  Jason took a couple of hours out of his own life to share with those who were interested, some of his thoughts and insights about sales, sales techniques, and dealing with prospects, among other things.
