Urgent Help needed! Cardinals just won - the parade is tomorrow!

Hi all,

I've been reading this forum for some weeks now and honestly I think it's the best out there when it comes to offline marketing.

Okay, so as you know STL cardinals won the world series last night and tomorrow(Sunday) is the parade when thousands of people will come out to celebrate with the team and on the very end there will be a presentation of the team where players will talk, which will be inside the stadium and they actually sold out all the tickets(because it was ticketed, 5$ per ticket) in less than 12 hours !!!

So,Im thinking what would be the best way to monetize this?
-If i go out and pass out some flyers, with a link to an online website selling jerseys and other cardinals apparel, I am not sure if this would work because many people already bought their jerseys/hats/whatever.

Please suggest any ideas you think would work.
Thanks

p.s. I forgot to mention that I am from Saint Louis lol

I'm from STL as well... passing out flyers is like handing people trash. Everyone likes to do that out at the stadium, but you're just wasting trees. I suppose you might have a little return, but you should have got a peddlers license, and go out there and sell your stuff.

Perhaps last minute flyers is what you will need. You could have designed a poster and printed out a thousand or something, go down there offering free posters with a purchase of a jersey.

I wouldn't be worried about it not working because they already have it... I'd only be worried about it not working because you're handing out trash.

Game 6 will never be forgotten as far as I am concerned... go cards

Hi there! I kinda agree with you that flyers won't work because most people are there to celebrate and not buy things, and handing them a flyer is the last thing I need to do...

I am not sure what would sell best here but there must be something that would be great to sell/promote. I hope someone else(like a Cubs fan ) would know more about this from past experience

      by the way, go cards

I think the best way to monetize on this would be to have something ready to sell at the parade. Distributing flyers and/or cards is not going to do much.

Well... get on facebook and send stuff out to your friends, get people to like your fan page... are you SEOd well because this would be a great time to take advantage from traffic spikes.

    PPC could help too!

Also, I WOULD like to say that passing out flyers or is it, fliers, is better than doing nothing at all!

Well, a facebook fan page would not bring much profit overnight I believe. I am thinking of promoting a CPA offer somehow, like sign up here to win a free jersey(or some other item) but not sure if it would be really worth it... or maybe get a big sign and put a QR code in there, which reads SCAN ME for a surprise gift. Hire 3-4 people to walk with them during the parade and other celebrations..

It seems that it's too late to do something now ... maybe the only way to get attention would be running naked lol

Never underestimate the power of going viral... all it COULD take is a few of your friends liking your fan page. Doing something is better than doing nothing.

Cool, created a fan page, let's see how it works out. I might even create/connect a group of people to walk together by sharing a meeting place on this fan page and get some signs promoting something

        Thanks for the motivation!
