Good Wordpress SEO Plugin

Hi folks

I have completed a Wordpress website for a company that sells properties close to where I live. (I think you guys in the US call them realtors!!!)

I have installed "all in one SEO" plugin but I was wondering if any of you could recommend a better plugin to use, or is this one Ok?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Darren

The All in one is great. It is really all that is needed in my mind... It takes care of all of your on page seo needs great, with the exception of your actual content/ alt tags on your images , Just make sure you put the right keyword(s) in your all in one.

Also do the xml sitemap .. the exact name escapes me! (at my 9-5)

I am sure there are some other more qualified people in here to add their two cents! :-)

Yeah, I think the majority of votes are going to be for All-In-One.

Did you code the site properly, and accordingly to what is good SEO for your customer? People think WP is just a bunch of plugins and it's all done - sadly this is far from the truth.

There are a lot of noobs here and it takes a while for many of them to get on the advanced SEO bandwagon. Let's not leave them thinking they can't start out with knowing which plugins do a good job, as the OP here was trying to get a pulse on. This is where it often starts for them.

I use both the All In One as well as Yoast. Both are good, and I have been leaning more in the Yoast direction lately. When I get a site up and running, I then get a hold of some of my out sourced SEO pros and let them work their magic. You have to be cautious not to spend too much money on these guys (I used to be one) because most of them have such a vast knowledge they will want to implement everything they know. Not always a necessity. I have learned that implementing an SEO plan then tweaking and upgrading as needed to be the most prudent method.

That said, for those of you that are only using plugins, well you need to start thinking about using more advanced techniques that will most definitely benefit you. This is why you need to know more about and implementing your out sourcing. If you don't want to learn the advanced stuff for SEO, build the cost of out sourcing it into your bids to offliners, or any online clients you may have. It is important to get some coding done, especially with highly competitive markets. It will help you and your clients get those coveted 1st page rankings and that's what this is all about with SEO!

I find that the plugin Yoast SEO is much better. I think it may have been renamed to "Wordpress SEO". But it's way better in my opinion. You may want to check it out.

I agree that the All-in-One-SEO plugin is good, as is the Yoast plugin. You may want to also add Chris Landrum's Easy WP SEO plugin. It's a WSO that has sold over 2K copies. I use it, and it's been a key differentiator to me.

I also like Yoast and especially Local Search SEO Contact Page Plugin. Helps you optimize NAP, gives you a QR code, Google Map, and social media.
