Looking for low cost google scraper - physical address + URL

Hi

I have read a number of threads, still not found if the various scrapers do what I want.

I am fairly sure I saw a demo last year - but old age has fried som of the RAM in my brain !!

I want to be able to do a search in Google for eg Locksmith or Restaurant + a place name, then the scraper will search the pages for physical addresses - email would be a bonus.

I don't just want to search google places.

Scraper needs to recognise UK addresses.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I appreciate that someone may recommend a more powerful scraper than my needs - I am open to those suggestions if the scraper is very good at doing hat I need or now.

I would also consider a scraper or the UK Yell.com

Thanks for reading

Have you looked at GPScraper and/or MapPI - I use both of those actually.

I've been playing with the Places Scout software(and I get annoyed quickly by software). It's pretty powerful and user friendly. Definitely speeds up the whole process of lead generation.

Great weapon for your offline arsenal.

Some powerful upgrades are scheduled to come out soon.

Dexx, that software looks great, but I don't like software that you need a subscription for that once the business disappears, there goes your program. That's what happened to Instant Business Finder. No longer scrapes email addresses and its main domain is gone.

    • I'm with Cara, Scout is really powerful and CHEAP. I just did a really in-depth review on my blog. I've told Mark I could sell it for 3 times the price. Plus I've given him some ideas for MAJOR new features no one else has so stay tuned and upgrades are free.

Plus I have lots of other tools on my local SEO tools page, many of them are free, but I don't think I have any other scrapers listed except for GPscraper.

But now that I think about it, in the comments on that page I think a couple people list other programs and some of them may be cheap/free. Can't remember if any are scrapers though.

        Thanks for the various responses.

These look like good tools but I do not think they do what I want at the moment.

I am fairly sure I remember an application that does the following:

I enter search criteria (as I would in google), eg locksmith London. The application does a google search, opens each website (x pages deep) populates a table with any of the following information it finds: URL, business name, address, tel, fax, email

Does anyone know an application that does this?

        Thanks CKventure

That would be exactly what the software that was recommended states it does on the sales page (with screenshots and video).

It's not really worth the time of other members to suggest applications if you aren't going to take the time to analyze them...

@IMSince2003 - A subscription is exactly what you SHOULD want in a software program. A low one-time fee means that the software developer is going to be providing on-going upgrades, tech support, and bug fixes at no additional cost (or profit to them) outside of positive word-of-mouth.

At least with an annual subscription the program developer has an incentive to continue to support the software since recurring income will continue to flow in (on top of new referrals).

I've invested in many "one-time fee" software programs that crashed and burned after a couple months once the developer stopped seeing a reason to continue to support it.

Only a few programs come to mind that actually do well in this regard (market samurai, article marketing robot, etc.)

Just my 2cents (but I don't want to derail this thread on the subject of one-time fee vs licensing)

    Cheers,

try this one - is free - does exactly what you ask eg details - but only does places
    New Google Places Free Software

    and another free one
    http://www.localseoaustralia.com/goo...s-pack-finder/
finds the keywords that trigger a places pack

    The scout software : http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...make-more.html
looks to be a great piece of software at the price - sure almost $100/yr but the other offers are twice that and only one - gpscraper - clearly states updates are free

Yes that will grab plus local addresses, but if you want more than that, I also have a bot that scrapes whois data for the business address/phone/email etc and emails the person, it is included in my seo cash club membership. My members have been having a lot of success with it.
