How Long Would It Take you?

I know my answer, but I'd like to ask other offline marketers, particularly those that deal with Google Places optimization.

If you had a client/prospect that was roofing company in Oklahoma City, what would you quote for a time table for getting their GP listing to the first page for the local OKC keywords such as roofing, roofing contractor, roofing companies, roofing repair and roofing repair contractor?

I ask this, partly because I have a client whose expectations I think are a bit too high, and partly because I think it will help newer offline marketers in determining their quotes.

Would anyone quote a week for a situation like this?
#long

you can't really set a time table or make any promises with google places, the reason why is because they are always changing stuff.. I usually have my customers sign a initial 6 month contract for google places and i explain to them it takes time since i dont control it google does. If you explain to them good enough they will understand the fact that it doesnt happen overnight

Well said. I don't like quoting time tables either. If I'm prodded with a hot poker, I might say a couple of months, if I think it's realistic. I add the usual disclaimer though.
