A rant, and some very useful information for off-line marketers.

I just got off a webinar with some folks that had a popular WSO about mobile marketing.
I bought the WSO, and I bought the OTO for $37 dollars that came with it
The webinar was supposed to be filled with information on the subject. The content was good,(I'm Being kind) until the end when they softly tried to sell me and everyone else, on a coaching program, I hate that. Needless to say, I left. I have just once asked for a refund after purchasing many WSO's, I'm seriously thinking about getting my money back.
Here's a WSO for you that is worth at least $9 and no worries about paying 20/30 something dollars for bull**** webinars. FREE. For today only. but be quick. I'm closing it down soon.
For would be mobile marketers or any offline marketing you are chasing, and the ones that think they want to try: here's what I think you should be chasing. Just my thoughts.
Go to: dudamobile .com (no affiliation)
Sign-up for their re-seller program. The price will go from $9 to $6 for each m.site
It will give you the opportunity to create as many mobile sites as you want..no limit.
You will never have to pay for them, until you published them. As a re-seller, they give you the chance to email the mobile link to your potential customer, so they may see what it looks like. How great is that!
You can create a mobile website within 5 minutes and send it to you customer.
Create mobile sites "free" (you can create as many as you want) email them to the businesses or.. if you reach down inside and find your balls (sorry but yes, this applies to you ladies as well) you can go and show them what their m.site looks like, in person.
Now. Go to your potential customer and show them their mobile website on your smartphone. I guarantee that they will be astonished at what you show them.
Duda Mobile will charge you $6 per site, per month, you can charge them $29.99 per month. who would argue with you about this pricing plan?
Now...It would have been great to hear this from our WSO people. I'm sure they are aware of the program, If I know about it, and I'm not the sharpest tool, they must know. But not a word was said.
I'm tired, I'm pissed off at everyone that charges five dollars, or whatever they can get away with for some information that they may have to help their bottom line.
What ever happened to helping your fellow man/woman?
I realize we live in a capitalist society..But somewhere down the road it would be nice to just do something to help your neighbors. This country is built on that!
I'm tired of the webinars that I attend, the one's that promise you there's nothing to sell, but at the end there's a product or a coaching program that will make you better (really?)
I know there are characters in WF that truly deserve our attention, and they have given freely to all of us. But today all I see is a new breed of marketers that have only one thing in mind. Your paypal account.
I have been a member of this forum for some time. I have chosen to simply read most of the time and not contribute. Now I feel it is my time to speak.
This forum has become a butcher shop. It is a place where you can sell dreams and aspirations to the poor lambs that fall for it. To the ones that market here, I hope that you take notice. To sell a dream for a few dollars, is to steal a piece of someones soul.
I'm not saying that information that can truly turn someones life around should not be sold. I think what i'm trying to say is that; If you are blessed with information that can help.. share it. "If you give, You will receive"
Sorry for the rant.
I will continue to post all I can, free of charge, to try and make a difference.
God Bless you All.
Marcus

    Hey Marcus,

Well, your title was not mis-leading, and what a nice rant it was!

I like the website you shared, never heard.

There are many people out to make a buck, and many that are out to make a buck AND genuinely help. Weeding through the bs is not always easy.

I genuinely like to help people my self (you give, you will get and grow), you can read my posts, for the most part , I do not comment unless I have something of value. It is the same reason I do not have a forum signature link, I am not here to forum market.

I am here to weed through the b.s. and take little nuggets of information, and apply them to my self and my own business aspirations (now off-line).

I do pick up WSOs here and there, but the ones I pick up mainly deal with my aspirations, off-line, and I have learned quite a lot in a few WSOs (and I am always a sucker for cheap CPA methods because I am still apart of many networks, I won't lie).

Either way, I hope you feel better you got that off your chest!

    Ryan McKinney

    I love paragraphs...

EDIT: Okay, I actually squinted really hard and read the original post...awesome post! Thanks for the tip of Dudamobile, I didn't even know about it (and I'm starting to dip my toe into the mobile world packaged with Facebook fan pages and Aweber as premium profit system for local businesses)

    Cheers,

Hey Marcus! How ironic that I just spoke to Cody with Duda today and signed up as a reseller! Then here you are, the same day, with a post that will hopefully help others.
BTW, I agree with you and what you say here. I am thankful for the Warriors that share free info out of the goodness of their hearts...like you!
Have you tried setting up a business with DUDA yet?

Yes I have. You can't be it for show and tell for the businesses that need it the most.

I was on that same webinar and felt the same way. I am disappointed as I know the 2 of them have made a TON of money in the last 3-4 months.

They have another webinar this week and I expect the same thing; pitching something at the end.

Jack Mize is about the only online marketer I trust anymore.

We're all marketers here, right? Well, most of us, I assume.

I don't agree with pitching something at the end of a webinar IF you say that it will be a pitch free, 100% content webinar, but as long as the content was good and it provided value, what's wrong with them pitching you on something that also might help you?

It was supposed to be filled with information on the subject. The content was good, until the end when they softly tried to sell me and everyone else, on a coaching program (I hate that).
Why don't you take what they did as a lesson, and implement it into your own marketing, rather than hate on them for it?

If Duda Mobile charges you $6 per site, per month, you can charge them $29.99 per month. who would argue with you about this pricing plan?
Why wouldn't you just give your clients this information for free and show them how to do it for free, out of the kindness of your heart? Wouldn't it be nice to do something just for the sake of helping your neighbors?

How many times are you going to try to up-sell your own clients after you get them into this Duda Mobile thing?

Do you get where I'm going with this?

Rant on brother! Great info and it was...free?!? That info is great for non-mobile marketers too. It's an easy way to add it to your firms web solutions.

This reminds me of another thread I was reading today:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...mendation.html

There seems to be some similarity in the thinking.

Marcus, this is a timely rant because I've felt this same way the last couple of weeks. You buy a WSO (some are good, not bashing all), and then you get sold every other WSO of the day. If you're on more than one list, you're getting sold that same WSO from them all. They are master copywriters but it is tiring because EVERYTHING is the latest and greatest. Everything is stealth and ninja this, secret that, blah blah blah.

Bottom line is we get how the game is played and it is sometimes disappointing. Agree with ADukes. I like Jack Mize's approach to marketing and educating. For many on here, I don't believe you're doing what you're selling and that hurts the credibility of the ones who are bringing it everyday.

I have no problem with an upsell

I went to a seminar the other day without a real on and it felt wrong. Even if I got value out of it and my boss payed fr it. Just seemed like he should have had more to upsell at the end.

As a person who markets, but posts freely twice as much as he markets... I have to say I kind of agree. Personally I would rather just tell people, "Here's my program" buy it or not...and keep talking freely. Generally you can find as much info in my posts as my WSO's, so I agree with you.

On another note, thanks for the great tip on mobile site providers. That was freeking awesome. This post should commended, its a great contribution.

I think your post here is more valuable than you give it credit for probably, and should probably be worth 60,000 views.

You said it all right here. This is a business plan in one post that would absolutely work JUST LIKE IT IS> If I was desperate tomorrow I could take this post and make money from what you just shared. Bravo.

Once this thread gets 20,000 views though, you might rather think that its a waste not to have a sig link, it isnt warrior like to leave opportunity on the table anymore than it is to sell bad opportunities.

I went for 10 years with no sig link, and I felt I was being altruistic to the cause, until I realized that its a money making forum, and if you are creating activity others are making money, and I realized it was un warrior like to not at least have something to offer.

    So I see both sides.

In a nutshell, this is the most valuable Mobile marketing post Ive seen...Look out for haters bro.

    • “Marketing is the process of anticipating, managing, and satisfying the demand for products, services, and ideas.” — Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

" It is the whole business seen from the point of view of the final result, that is, from the customer’s point of view. Concern and responsibility for marketing must therefore permeate all areas of the enterprise.” – Peter Drucker

it's not a rant, but marketing feedback.

The customer can demand something else or go elsewhere.

fluff webinar's : I hope some listen, because it's getting old.
