Yellow Pages to offer offline services

Just found some ads (in the UK) from yellow pages looking for social media, search engine, video and web site consultants to target SME's.

This has been going on for a while now here. The services they offer aren't exactly high quality.

Offline marketers are always going to be competing with big dogs. If you enjoy what you do, and you can get results, you will always be successful. Third party credibility, view it in a positive light!

I think it's great that YP is offering more services! It just means there are more customers that will eventually hire some one like me or other Warriors.

YP is a competitor, so find out about the services they offer that compete with you. Competition intelligence.

If you are talking to someone and they tell you they are using another competitor, you want to be able to tell them the pros and the cons about who ever they are either using or thinking about using.

The one question I ask potential clients that are currently using YP is:

Does a YP site appear on the first page of Google when you search your main keyword or keywords? (i.e. Chiropractor Chino = No YP site on 1st page) I always get the same answer....

    Nope.

Another ecample would be if you speak to someone who is paying the higher fee to also get PPC ads from YP. We pull up his ad (if it comes up). Then when We refresh and see his competitor in the same place, that usually closes the deal.

The important thing is that it's great that we can share this type of knowledge with each other. YP is coming out with more services Great!!! Let find out how what they actually offer, then go thru YP, to contact the businesses that we know will spend money for advertising.
