I'm branding a Secret Supper Club. They do underground culinary events and part of the appeal is that they are perceived as quasi legal, rebellious, and exclusive.

What are your opinions on this Slogan/Subhead.

"S****** T*** Secret Supper Club
Despite what you may have heard, there are absolutely no illegal culinary events going on in here...none... "

It's inspired by a Virgin Energy ad reading: "Despite what you may have heard, there is absolutely no scientific evidence that Virgin Energy is an Aphrodisiac"

  • What does the "S****** T*** stand for?
  • How about
Despite what you may have heard, there is nothing illegal going on in here.

    • This is a good improvement over the original...and the ***ed wording doesn't make sense to me.
  • Oh I just ****'d it out cause I don't want the company name to appear in search engine listings. Sorry for the confusion guys.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the rework of a simple "there is nothing illegal going on in here"

I want to be sure the cheekiness and sarcasm comes through though. Does it read that way with the cropped down rework?

    • To keep the sarcasm obvious I would definitely stick with the original.

  • That slogan sounds like a spin on the classic Gary Halbert ad he wrote for Tova Borgnine's perfume, "Wife Of Famous Movie Star Swears Under Oath Her New Perfume Does Not Contain An Illegal Sexual Stimulant!"

It packed 7,000 people into a hotel to check it out in one morning. Maybe researching what he did with that will give you further ideas.

    • I like the reworked one. You would not want people to think that they are eating endangered animals or something illegal, but the reworked one there is cool and shows the rebellion a little.
