Great advice. Absolutely get the elephant out of the room. When you first call people just teach them(not sell them) about how you can help them and how you have helped others like them. Make sure they are engaged by asking questions like " Do you see how that would help you?", or "If I can do the same for you, would that be useful for your company?

Lead them down the yes path, and always sell the solution.. your not selling "sms marketing" your selling instant communication they can use to make their phone ring when they want.
