Hey,
I want to create video reports for my potential offline clients. Unfortunetaly, I don't have any experience in video creation. Is there any course that could teach me to create effective videos?

What's your best recommendation?

I'm looking to create slideshows videos, showing different pictures taken from screenshots, text and occasional screen recordings. But I prefer just to add slideshows as I can edit the pictures easily.

Thanks.

You can use a free software called SUPER to do the job for you, also, there's a free software called Camstudio that can create computer videos and record screenshots for you.

It kind of sounds like you want to create a really good Powerpoint report/presentation, but have it play itself as a video. There are a lot of good sites out there if you search on powerful ways to present info in slides. I used to do graphics for reports. I found the best way to present info is to keep it simple, if it's a lot of data break it up into different slides. If you are talking about in-depth data reports you may want to embed the video on a page and have it explain the data which you can display below. There are a lot of creative things you can do, but I would say learning how to make good Powerpoint presentations may be the best route for what you are trying to accomplish

    Camtasia is great.

Just go to the Recorder, then once you are done recording click Stop. It will open the theater, then just click on save & edit.

Then from there you just produce it when you get done editing.

I use Screencast-O-Matic to record on screen info and find it very good. I use the Pro version, but it only cost about $12 for the year. They also have a free version.

I have always used windows media live movie maker. You can create some awesome and professional looking videos. I like putting my articles into video with text slides and music with some images. Always did the trick for me and are very fast to make.

Who? Me? Or the other guy?

LOL I'll post one of mine just in case.. this was done using Camtasia

This was with my old mic too, the new webcam that I bought has like HD quality sound.

Like I said, Camtasia is really good.. If you have it already, you're set.

Although you should probably write up a basic script or something, otherwise there will be times when you mess up.

lol I personally dont care, I might stammer for a second but thats just because my mind is processing like 30 million things per second and my mouth cant keep up.. HAHA!

And its just strange talking to yourself.

Make your presentation in Powerpoint, then use Wondershare to convert it into video. It's an affordable software, it only costs $30-$40.

Sometimes you can get Wondershare and other video conversion programs from
"Giveaway of the Day" for free. I have 4 different video conversion/creation programs
all for free. You need to be choosy and read the comments first from other GOTD

I would just get a copy of Camtasia and start playing around with it, until you get comfortable with how it works.

If you already have Camtasia Studio, then do a search on youtube and you will find many training videos for free, for slider you can use openoffice, its free and easy to use, you can also look on youtube for training on that, or if you have powerpoint you can use that too.

It depends on what software you want to use.

If you already have Camtasia then do google search for camtasia tutorial. If you prefer to use Movie maker - there are tons of tutorials on Youtube.

The same for any other software: just type exactly what you want, whether it is for beginners, intermediate or advanced users.

    Good luck.

Some nice tips in here. That website ^^ gave a good statistic for this kind of work, it can cost $3000 to have a 60 second video created for your website - something that's good for the sales pitch. How much are you all charging?

my choice for screencap video is camtasia.. just one click and it will record everything happened in your desktop plus audio. It also has some cool features like auto zoom (focus area), auto click effect/sound, etc.

However if you want logo animation or motion graphics video why not visit my threads.
