Most Effective Client Getting WSO/Tactic for Google Places

Evening fellow warriors...I will make this quick. Now I do realize that the answers should and will vary, but I figured I would ask anyways....I recently started an internet marketing company after a couple of years of doing some freelance work.

In regards to specifically obtaining clients for highly optimized Google Places Listing....what WSO or strategy have you been using currently to pick up clients? I am not too concerned about the pricing of the services, etc but more about the approach and strategy.

Any insight into any WSO's or current strategies would be more than helpful.

    I have not done this yet, but plan on sending out postcards with a screen shot of the Google Places results for their business. Then, if they are showing up in the places listing, but have not claimed their listing, I would put a note saying "BusinessName, You are in danger of losing your page 1 position", and let them know that you can help them.

    I haven't got my wording just right yet, but, I will be using postcards to see how the response is. The postcards will be customized for each business that I send out to.

    So, the text in each postcard will be customized for each business.

    Just to clarify - you've already optimized the listing and are looking to sell/rent it?

    OR... Are you looking to obtain clients and then get them top rankings in Maps?

    Mailers are always effective, but you just need to test them. That's where most people fail, as I'm coming to find out more and more. They don't give their mailers a chance to become successful. Takes several tweaking sessions to get it right.

    Jumping on the phone and selling the Places that you've optimized currently is probably the best way to get money in your pocket without waiting. I'd make sure to setup call tracking numbers on the Places pages you control so that you can really show the value of having top rankings. This will make your job of selling these Place pages much, much easier, trust me on that.

      Hey Voasi...thanks for the feedback. I am looking to obtain clients that have a Google places page that isn't well optimized, thus not showing up on the first page. As you know, some of them aren't even verified.

      So I search for this companies that are not optimized and offer my services to spruce up their page, add images, videos, comments, maps, etc to get them on page 1.
