Flyers and Black Friday - Why must my mind try to monetize EVERYTHING?

The fiance talked me into shopping the black Friday rush that starts today. Where does she want to go? Wal-mart (not that it mattered it is a mad house everywhere).

After 45 minutes of moving 45 feet in Wal-mart AFTER parking a mile away and walking in the cold, we left the store aggravated and with nothing.

So I said aloud to her: " I wish I had gave 5 highschool/college kids their own tracking ID, grabbed a CPA offer (like the e-mail submit for wal-mart), had thousands of flyers made left a link and a qr code linked to the CPA offer, each with their own tracking id, and paid them a commission of the earnings to ensure they passed them out, I prob could of made a few grand easy"

There was no parking for a mile around the wal-mart, in a town of 50K people. People parked illegally, it was nuts.

two lessons learned: Amazon rocks & make flyers next year!

Maybe it is not to late this year, just to aggravated to care right now, people are rude. Jack n coke to calm the nerves.

    I dont remember in the US but in Canada there is Boxing day (Dec26) which equals BF. Still time. Good idea thanks.

    Btw, did your fiance want to kill you? My new wife was very understanding on our honeymoon when I kept snapping photos of good marketing ideas and talked with tons of people (drumming up future biz) even though it was our time. Actually I think I will post one of the ads I shot in another thread.

      Haha she just has that look like "whatever you say" - but she sees money coming in (so she can put it back out!) so she deals with it lol! Yeah there is still time and a couple of highschool kids in my neighborhood that would love some cash!

    Can they even view email submits on mobile phones? And like what would you put on the flyer? Free walmart giftcard? thaats it? How do you get a QR code that goes to whatever link you want? might try this nextyear!

      E-mail submits actually convert on phones, and this is how I know:

      When I first started building a list with mobile ads on admob, about a year and a half, 2 years ago, I was building a weight loss product list, targeting females. When they opted in for their "Free report", I had it re-direct to an e-mail submit (non-mobile), and that re-direct actually converted around 8%, now. So for every 100 optins, I had about 8 e-mail submits - so that recovered the cost for about 350 mobile clicks :-) - So I know it would work. I figured "i am targeting women, so where do I want to re-direct them?" Every woman I knew like wal-mart, so I re-directed them to a wal-mart submit. Mobile users were still use to having to "zoom in" and it is not a far stretch for them to day that. Also, the submit didn't look that bad on my iPhone.

      I really do not know exactly how I would design the flyer, never really got that far.

      I suppose I would either A: buy cheap short .info domain and re-direct it to a CPA offer

      or B: get them to opt-in to an SMS list, where I could send them cpa offers via text..


      There is a network called offer mobi, they have mobile optimized cpa offers, I am on that network.

      My post was more of a rant/idea that anyone could still use!
