==looking for ideas for videos - indian bistro owner???

Hi,

just visited bistro today looking for room for meetup

she said she could use some work

i'd like to shoot some short 2-3 min videos

any topic ideas beside hi mention this video and get 20% discount

majority of her clients are white - Ontario, Canada

    Hey I'm doing a place just like this in Ontario, CA as well. I have proposed short recipe vids just to grab people's attention to a few places. People will sometimes watch and get to the end and say, heck, I mind as well just pay this place $10 for a huge helping of this instead of cooking for 3 hours. Or at least that's my theory!

    An even bigger proposal is they take small samples around to all the local businesses and say, "hey we are just down the street, offer good food, try it. We are also having a special today..."

    How about a video on the history of the type of food they serve? Things like where the spices originate or some other interesting factoids. You could do a whole series of 1-2min movies focusing on the origins of a dish. People enjoy these type of things if you can tie it to to something they can relate to (in this case a local restaurant they can go visit and now enjoy the flavors further now that they know they background).

      Once, I was in a cab with my husband and another couple that had been dating for a while. She was oriental something and he was from Sweden. She was ever so sweet to him and then bragged to us about this mystic sauce she made for him. She said it took 6 hours to cook it . Gosh, was she badly in need of a green card... (Yes, they did marry and that was the end of 6 hour sauces).

      Anyway, the video/s could be about a really time-consuming recipe, explaining the care and detail plus the origin. At the end of the video say something like "for instant gratification, please visit us at, for a tasteful FREE sample, bla, bla, bla" to bring them in. If they end up buying the full plate, as a gift, give them a prepared sample bag with the spices and a copy of the recipe.

        thanks everybody for ideas will list them here in case others are looking for the future

        - history of dish or spice - (mine is working with mint)
        - recipe easy - few videos just to get to google for targeted keywords
        - recipe time consuming so they come to restaurant
        - recipe time consuming with twist - it's going to take long time drop and try it first, buy full dish and as gift get spices and recipe in the bag
        - and usual - my name is and mention this video for 10-25%
        - testimonial videos from customers

        thanks for reminding me about samples for local business

        problem is she is in small plaza with 2 other restaurants plus franchise licks

        this area is in development

        there are no surrounding buildings with businesses - one is in development
        and she wants to do catering later so she will have to go bigger circle

        it's like island with park in front with almost zero foot traffic

        when looking for meetup space all places were empty maybe 3-4 people in each

        since we are not in competition maybe stay in touch to see what's working
