Being in the convincing business sucks. If people don't see the value in what you have to offer, you're not going to convince them. Next!

Anyone else stoked for Bob and Gregg's new WSO that's launching today? I've been kicking butt with Bob's first WSO and I checked out his second and it was killer, too. I can't WAIT to get my hands on this new one, haha. There's a lot of junk in the WSO forum. People will sell any crappy methods or information to make a buck. But Bob's stuff is the real deal. |

Yeah - frankly I stopped buying a lot of stuff here on the forum once I got Bob's WSO; I'm working on my 2nd mailer. VERY eager to see this new WSO, those two guys are top notch.

As a student of Bob and past buyer of his WSO's, I am mega excited about his new WSO, he always over delivers and the support he gives is second to none! Hope to be the first buyer today! Thanks Bob!

I got the new wso, still reading it. All I can say is WOW! For those of you who do not know, bob's first wso is all about the 9x12 mailer which this thread is all about. The second wso called "Rapid Response" is about targeted direct mail, upfront, it will make you less but in the long run, can make you more. It also is something you can almost totally outsource, basically a work from home opportunity. Now, with this new wso, which totally stands on its own legs, there's no excuse anymore for NOT making money. And, in the OTO, there are tutorials on how to do your own designs as well. If you prefer to outsource, several great resources are provided. Here's the link to the new wso; http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ntly-easy.html Eva P.s. Have to give credit to Greggorio as well, he is a big part of the design process. |

I'm just thrilled to be a part of the creative process & happy to help where I can....and look forward to seeing everyone's progress (including my own!). Since this is what I do for a living (graphic design) - I'm amazed at how narrow-minded my thinking and potential was prior to being exposed to our offline private forum. I have learned SO MUCH in the last 90 days.....we are all gonna KILL IT IN 2012!! What economic recession?? We are gonna be financially BULLETPROOF this year!

Totally honest, Well, I for one, am pooped after all the excitement today. This 9x12 method ended up not working for me since I live too remotely but with the new wso, man oh man, I probably end up owing bob my gratitude forever. THIS gives me a chance at selling on a different level and whoever does not take me up on my future offerings, well, their loss. When I first bought the wso about this method, I was so thrilled. Then, to keep us all connected, bob gave us our own Skype group, no additional charge. I've made some nice friends and connections as well through that group alone. When that was not enough we all chanted "forum, forum, forum" and lo and behold, he gave us our own forum! Right now, that forum has around 9.200 posts, all in less than 3 months! KILLER ideas in there, for sure. Now this, ah, gosh. And yes, another forum section for the new wso. Not quite sure how that is going to work but I am in. Yes, this is a plug but it is also my totally honest opinion. My thinking, and the possibilities that bob has provided, priceless, Eva |

Yes I agree Bob is a raging genius and I have absolutely no reservations saying that. When I heard about your situation a while back vikuna my first thought was honestly "you shouldn't have bought the wso". I just didn't have the sack to say it back then, but you're in such an isolated region and coming from the polar opposite scenario myself (most densly populated state in US) I just felt you wouldn't have a lot of success. You really need to live in a somewhat populated area for this to work, a city, or anywhere along the coast imo. I may be coming back to this business soon so I'm glad to see there is a forum up now I had no idea Bob did that. The job I got from doing this stuff wound up being very lucrative up untill the point I realized my boss is a complete moron. He's too arrogant, he's mean to his customers, his employees, extremely disorganized, rude, I don't like a single thing about the guy tbo. So I think in a matter of weeks I will be jobless again and I really have no problem with it seeing how well this system worked before. I think I'd much rather focus on my own business anyway and scaling this idea up 10 fold now. Bob's a good guy probably one of the best guys on this forum and as long as he's posting things on here I always be around to read what he's saying. |

I have never been one of those desperate wso buyers out there. Come to think of it, my purchases has been less than 6 (six) since I joined the forum. 2 a year? Yep, that is about right. Fortunately, at the time, I was still raking it in. Things change, as in my field, real estate, god gholly! To make a long story short, bob IS my Saviour! Eva |

So I was thinkin.... An early adopter - Let's say Joe is his name - now has *prime* real estate on the card... but the following month Joe would like to take off from the advertising... but if he drops, then he looses that prime real estate. What if Joe finds a compatible business that would pay and run an ad that month... Joe keeps his 'real estate' and I don't have to fill a gap. The new person pays me with the full understanding that it's Joe's space that is being rented to him... and they are both happy, possibly trading off add space for quite some time. Am I crazy? Seven Ads left to go with 2 possibles pending... Loving Every Minute Of It! Patrick |

If you are in a city of 2 million or 20 thousand, you still have businesses competing and consumers looking for a better deal. You will have to adjust the details of course....but I believe that this will work any place where people already get regular coupons in their local newspaper and/or through the mail at least once per month. (proving that coupons work in that area) Also, with enthusiasm and persistence, this business could be run remotely from anywhere in the world.

Congratulations Pierre! So happy for you! Taking action has paid off for you and it must feel so awesome man! You are an inspiration for me to get this going ASAP...Thanks! Great idea about working with the advertisers, in creative ways to help keep a few of the slightly skittish advertisers going consistently in the program. The cool thing is that I think a lot of the younger "warriors" have missed how real, and doable, this idea is compared to most of the other "local marketing" ideas on this forum, so congrats to everyone that is still following this thread, you are smarter than the average bear. Thanks for your posts on this thread "Pierre!", and thanks to everyone else, really valuable information here!

Has anyone had any success with contacting the Advertising Agencies for a prospect? I have had 2 prospects say 'Just contact our Agency'... and I imagine that is when I would get the brush off... Just curious to see if anyone has tried contacting one of these agencies to get on their list of 'Local Tools'... Patrick |

I bought BobRoss's new wso and I was surprised that it contains TWO real businesses and BOTH are HOT online and offline. And BOTH are easily outsourced so you can sit back and make money from this WSO. I didn't realize I was buying TWO businesses in a box. Was a total surprise for me and again another "over delivery" by BobRoss and new partner and web designer named greggorio. This guy walks you through a total understanding and operation of the top of the line Adobe softwares, which means you can run your own design business or at the very least never need to pay for professional designs again. The creation of one header pays for the whole wso. These guys show you how to crank them out by the hundreds as part of your own business. This wso pays off in so many ways it was much more than I expected. |

the wso is nothing compare to the support that Bob gives us in his forum... It's just amazing all the stuff that is being shared there, and I by no means want to advertise his wso ... I'm the last one who would give a 'thumbs up' to a crappy WSO like 95% of them are (offline marketing related). If you want to get started offline and are struggling, its either buying the WSO or just taking action that will save you! Stop reading the forums, Buy the WSO and take action!! |

I've recently read through this entire thread (took me most of two days). I think this could be the most helpful and informative threads I've ever read on WF. So my contribution is to update the some of the pricing that others discussed early on. I got a quote from GotPrint.com yesterday (3/26/12). Here's what I got (both for 10,000 pieces): 1. 14pt gloss stock, 4/4 color front and back uv coated = $955.80 + $245.50 shipping = $1,201.30 2. 16pt gloss stick, 4.4 color front and back, uv coated = $1,056.94 + $248.64 shipping = $1,305.58 I'm going to see if I can get some quotes from local print houses. My city is plenty big enough we should have lots to choose from. I am recruiting graphic artists to mock up a card, I've set pricing and am pretty much ready to start selling once I get a card mocked up. I already have a corporation, business cards, and my account at usps.com along with routes selected. Surprisingly my neighbor, who owns a local flooring company said that he would buy 20,000 pieces sent out for $1,000 before he would buy 10,000 for $500. We were a little rushed, so I didn't fully understand his reasoning, but I'll find out and let you all know what I come up with. I'll keep you posted. Chris |

The quantity of 10,000 is used by default because it represents a pretty close balance of your costs and what most businesses can/want to pay. Greater "Exposure" is a potent selling point...and when you are weilding a marketing mechanism that gets in front of the eyeballs of everyone in the whole community...you become the go-to source. This makes it easier for you to expand to a community website, video marketing....anything. The postcard drives all of it.

Unfortunately I didn't get in on the original WSO, and I'm using all my spare funds for things like hiring an artist to develop a logo, do the card mockup and stuff like that. Right now I'm compiling my list of prospects while I wait on the artists to do their thing. I intend to keep the thread posted with my progress. A few posts back, I updated the thread with my recent print quote from GotPrint.com If anyone has any other print options or current opinions about GotPrint.com, I would love to hear about it. Thanks all, Chris

All I can say is that this is an AMAZING way to build a real business- from scratch! We are currently working on our 2nd and 3rd cards- in 2 different parts of the country. We are also supporting 2 other territories in their efforts to build their own business in their areas. Bottom line...you can go as far as you want to with this business. We are purposely scaling this way back until we have enough time to crank it up. I'm happy to help in any way I can- good luck! Regards, Bill The Neighborhood Saver

I've read a LOT od WSO's and make money at home or internet marketing stuff over the years. This one feels different to me. I like hard work and I like selling something of vale to people people who want and need this type of service. I'm really very excited about it. I hope the enthusiam will translate into a good closing ratio when I get to that stage. Here's what I've done so far: 1. Incorporated. Actually I have a corp that I'll use for this. Generic "Chackett Consulting, Inc." that I've had for years. 2. Business checking (also years and years old) 3. SquareUp ready for accepting CC's on the spot. 4. Hired a fiverr.com gig for a logo / business card design 5. Hired a fiverr.com gig for the card layout and mockup 6. In the process of compiling my prospect list. Once the mock up is done, I'll take it to a local printer and get one or two printed so I can bring them with me on sales calls. My biggest questions now are about how folks are selling the card. I'm interested in pricing strategy and objection handling, positioning, etc. I'm interested in hearing stories about what kind of reception they're getting from different folks. For example are you hearing things like "I can do xyz direct mail and it reaches more people" or "Yeah, but I can do ValPak for blah blah blah." Some of these objections seem pretty easy to handle. ValPak is eash, larger distribution is easy depending on the nature of the business you're calling on. I have a couple weeks before I'll be ready to go out and hit the pavement, so I want to work on flushing out my pitch / positioning, etc. Thanks! Chris

Well, today is as good a day as any to update... it's been just 30 days for me. I am NOT a sales guy, but I CAN sell what I *believe* in... I started March 1st and when I came home from the first day of 'sales' there was a direct mail piece that was selling me on - Direct Mail - in the mail box that outlined 3 levels of product - We'll call it Good, Better, and Best - Best being just $.62 per card. I call it 'My Gift From Above'... and I use it regularly! 1000 of the $.62 cards, 1% return = TEN possible clients at $62 a piece With Tucson's Local Deals GIANT Postcard you pay less, and get Ten TIMES the reach! But I fail miserably.. providing only a 0.25% return... and you get to talk with Twenty Five people vs Ten - The cost for each client is *much smaller*... Do the Math. I think it helps... Another stumbling block of mine - Exclusive-ness - I guess I saw somewhere 'Exclusive to Your Side' - No matter how many times you say it, or present it in writing it will trip you up. Twice for me, and it cost me a client. I will hand carry some Dove Chocolates to that Salon one day soon and apologize and admit that I was wrong... I think exclusive on the card is the way to go IMHO. Moving Right Along.... So in 30 days I got 11 clients. 2 used custom sizes - one took 3 spaces, the other took 2 spaces which was supposed to cut down on Graphics. I have had several do their own work - and I am now fighting to get their work in for layout. It was Thursday 3/29 that I had 5 spots to sell so that I could go to layout and get the first card out. I had appointments in the afternoon that I hoped to close, and a restaurant deal possibly pending. Just before noon I went into a flooring shop and the owner told me he had lost money on guys like me who were never able to get to the print phase. His offer was - I'll pay you for the 3.5" x 3.5" when you show me that the piece has mailed. I asked if I could think on it and call him by 4:30pm - He agreed. The 2:00pm appointment will get me more business one day, but had the mailing target zone already saturated with clients. The 3:00pm bought the 2 spaces for a *steal*, and the last place I donated to a local thrift store that supports Wounded Warriors & Veterans as well as families and individuals in need... By 4:15pm I was back in 'David's' flooring shop and he was busy of course... so I wrote him a note accepting his terms, got a copy made of the note, and supposedly he is working on the copy (he told me he had the previous ads, but now doesn't have them) So I am in a holding pattern until I can talk to an 'Ace In The Hold' that may still want a space.... and then 'David' may be dismissed... In The Mean Time - My graphics artist has become rather unresponsive - He's been working on my project, but his PayPal isn't ready to use. In addition to this, instead of 16 x $$$ he's only looking at 11 x $$$ which is a drop in revenue to him. So, understandably he's not *inspired* any more... In a talk with the original outsource contact we have worked to re-engage him with my project, and I will submit my next 2 Ads tonight after dinner. I keep singing and humming Tim McGraw's song "How Bad Do You Want It" just to keep my spirits up! (LOL) My advice -
WSO reading and market research - 2 weeks or so Give yourself 6 weeks to sell and get the ads together. You should have 1/2 of the Ads done by week 4. Hard closing with lower prices around week 3 to start accelerating signups if you need to. No matter how you slice it, the last 2 weeks will be *interesting*... so be sure you have built in some secret 'extra days' in the timeline for 'just in case'... Printing will take 2 to 3 weeks I am told... so add that on to your timeline... Or you can jump in and just take action to the point where it's ready to go! I wish I had planned more, but I am fighting off some financial issues and this has to go... and now is the time. You will never just 'stroll through' this process. It's work. BUT - I had been a 'work at home' guy for the past 2 years. I am a people person - And getting 'Out There' has changed my outlook and confidence level dramatically! I never realized how depressed I was feeling! This has literally changed my life for the better. They mean it when they say 'Taking Action Cures Many Things'... Sure did for me. Thank You to the Trail Blazers! Thank You for your patience with my crazy questions! Thank You for sharing freely! Thanks, once again, itsBobRoss and Greggorio28 ! And a Special Thanks to the Big Guy Above who's got my back! Could not have gotten this far without HIM! I am looking forward to posting pics of my cards! Now - Get Out There! Patrick |

+1000 on the Square CC processing! ValPack - the *first* Saturday I was out, and the *first* guy I talked to said "I can get 50K saturation in the whole valley for 1/2 the cost - yer way over priced" THAT just almost got me. Dig into BobRoss' RapidResponse-BobRoss/December WSO-Bonus on pitching and closing. I JUST FOUND THIS DOCUMENT THIS WEEK! Sure would have been nice to read it a few times to get it down 'pat'... Pricing in my area - I really have to build the value to a business owner who is typically very skeptical. Still working on this part, I lowered my prices pretty low - $300 and cutting deals cause things just *stopped* moving after the first 3 clients - and they purchased 5 spaces between them for just over $2K. I just got to the point where I had to get this done so that I would have some credibility. If you bought the premium WSO, Get In The Forum! Contact itsBobRoss at the email in the WSO to get in... Well Worth Your Time! I will be watching for your Card Pics for sure! HTH Patrick

Glad to see that this thread is still chugging along, i found this thread and the original WSO in Dec but couldn't start until I could give it my complete focus. "Operation Postcard Profits" (haha) begins today for me! Working on my card name and mockup now. Continued success to you all! Heidi |

Too bad I just came across this thread a few days ago, I would have loved to get the WSO Anyway, I have been reading for two days straight and am super pumped about getting out there and getting sales. Even without the WSO, all the amazing advise on this thread is enough to get going I believe. I know you guys don't know me from Adam, I mostly lurk around here, but after reading through all 22 pages I feel like I know you all already Since it is only the beginning of the month, my plan is to have a mailer being printed (hopefully being sent out) by the 30th. I know that may be a little aggressive, as I see it has taken some about 6 weeks or so, but I really have no other choice. I need the money badly, and since I don't work outside the home I have a lot of time to get out and sell. As long as I can get a babysitter for my youngest that is I was really all ready to go out and prospect tomorrow, but I need to get a mock-up printed first. The first two spots will be taken already with my business and my husband's business, and I am going to approach the owner of the building I lease for my business about exchanging an ad for the rent, as I don't have the money to pay him cash this month. He owns a restaurant next door to my building. So hopefully having three big red X's on the page already will spur my prospects to "act now". I already have a Square account from my other business, hopefully I can open a bank account without actually having to apply for a DBA from the state first. Gotta research that tonight, then hopefully make a visit to the bank tomorrow. Going to try to make a mock-up tonight on my own using the great templates already on this thread, then find a place to get one or two printed tomorrow. I always have a hard time starting something without getting all my "ducks in a row" first, but I really don't have time to put the selling off, being absolutely broke is a real motivator! I will worry about the website and business cards and whatnot coming a little later. I am terrified of actually going into the businesses, I am not a people person at all. I did telemarketing and appointment setting at a mortgage company for a long time and was great at it (in fact, the best in the company), but that was a very long time ago, and I have become much more introverted since then I don't even like talking on the phone, not even to friends. But this thread has actually sparked excitement in me about doing it, and that is a start in itself. So I plan on going first into businesses that I frequent, that way I am a little more comfortable with talking to the people that work there. It's not a ton of places, since I don't get out of the house much, but hopefully enough for me to be able to practice the script and objections and whatnot. Anyway, enough talking, sorry about the rant. I just wanted to lay it all out to kind of keep myself accountable. I will definitely report back on my progress. Wish I could get into Jake's (BobRoss') forum, I know a lot of the original posters don't visit this thread anymore, kinda miss that But nonetheless, I will be "on it like Blue Bonnet" tomorrow.... |

My plan is to start off with some businesses that I'm already a customer of. I know the owner of a hair salon (she cuts me and my wife's hair) which I always leave generous tips. I think the advantages of going to businesses that you are a customer might work out pretty well. Why? First off, they might be worried about losing you as a customer. Secondly, You can always tell them that you have to have their type of business on the card and if they don't buy a space you will have to go to one of their competitors (which works with out having to be a customer also). Just chiming in and I wish you the best. Let's keep each other updated. -Jonathan

I just picked up the wso from itsbobross. Very detailed information and very thorough. Literally, I find the leads and follow his guidance and it seems I will succeed because he laid it all out for everyone. |

Uhhhht oh........um...bad news. There was some sort of static coming from Green Lantern's Decoder Ring @ The Hall Of Justice...but it sounded something like..."I'm sorry but Bob Ross is a little tied up. He's busy getting Sainted by the Pope." I'll relay back later if I hear anything more. Sorry....:p Update: Sweet Polly Purebred heard about our plight and said she'd do all she can to help. She's running a worldwide story to see if she can reach Bob and get him to come here and help!
