I want to ask you what the easiest service to sell!


My ideas:

selling video SEO

creating fanpages


i want something that has a monthly fee

    im from germany and 20 years old bit younger then you :p

    u really think sms marketing is the one and only way?

    would be so awesome if you coule teach me
    thought of doing text marketing for a stripclub, a normal club, bars etc.

    To be honest this sounds biast. But really one of the easiest services to sell is Reputation Management.

    Think about it.

    Businesess are getting bombarded everyday with SEO or Web Development or fanpages etc.

    But if a company has a negative listing about them on Google, then they really need your service and are desperate for it.

    So in my opinion , easiest service to sell is , service is one that they are needed.

    If you want a monthly fee you need something of high value thats worth the investment.

    Article writing is a big one. People are spending a bit on that these days.

      SMS isn't the one and only way, but I think its the easiest as far as offline business models. Just my personal opinion. And sure shoot me an email, don't want to hijack someone elses thread.

      I thought about starting an article writing company, but I couldn't see myself writing 100 words for a buck.is that still the going rate?

    I find it hard to believe businesses are paying for articles..why? I mean do they actually get custmers from articles these days? It's not like they rank high in SE's. What have I missed?

    If the selling video Seo and creating fan pages are the 2 choices only. I think I would go for fan pages since nowadays fan pages are very helpful for business promotion of a company or certain services or product. I think buyers would love to have a more appealing and attractive fan page with more fans. I suggest to earn more fans first in your fan page because fans are the prospect customers if the page is about marketing products and services. Buyers usually buy fan page depending on the number and location of real fans.

    I think the easiest to sell is PPC management. I have had so many requests from this, even on this forum, that I can't handle all the work from it. Unlike SEO, PPC management is instant, they get and see results quick.

    Judging by the responses in this thread, 99% of you have already set yourselves up for failure.

    You don't sell a service, you sell a result.

    A business owner isn't going to drop thousands of dollars on a service just because it exists, they are going to spend that money to get a certain result produced from that service. (more customers, reduced expenses, more time to focus on other areas, etc.)

    As marketers you should be identifying what RESULTS you can provide businesses, not what "services" you can sell...otherwise expect a lot of rejection and ignored attempts to communicate with the business owners.

      Every business is different. First of all ask what value you can provide.

      Everything flows from that. It's not about you. It's about them.

    Web design. You can charge them an upfront fee, plus a residual income charge for each month that the website is up. Your website design prices will probably be pointed in a direction in which it is less than professional web designers who earn $60,000 or more at their jobs. I find this is true for me cause web design is so easy.

    The easiest service to sell would be that which they really need (and happen to demand right now), and they have the budget to spend for, and they trust you to deliver it for them (through your sales presentation / case studies / past success stories).

    And like one of the Warriors above mentioned, it really depends on which target market you want to go after.

    First find the type of businesses you want to work with, then find the suitable service that would help them.

    But anyway, it is easy to say all these things in theory, but in my personal experience, web development and management is an easy sell.

    Surprisingly, there are still A LOT (and I really do mean A LOT) of businesses still do not even have a basic web presence (and I'm wondering how they've been surviving all this while), and even those that already do, have lousy websites with broken links, images, etc.

    Offer to spruce up their website and then manage it (with clearly stated scope of work and limitations) for a monthly fee. But this would be time consuming in the long run. Find ways to work around this and scale.

      Yeah that could be right.. many businesses here in germany have got websites, partly out of date but many are high quality from big companys.

      really NOBODY here in germany tries to rank with a video and that is a chance I think.

      I will send out like 200 personal letters and garantee 100 views per month. I know that will work cause I tried first If the video dont reach 100v/month I wont charge for that month. One other problem is the price.. How much to charge? Im depending between 187€/month, 225€/month and 370€/month. I think I will charge as much as big the client is. Or how much the client earns from one lead.

        Views don't do much for me. Show me how many of those 100 would take a specific action (call my number, fill out a form on my site).

    With all due respect, IT'S NOT ABOUT THE EASIEST SERVICE YOU CAN SELL, but rather what THE CLIENT NEEDS!

    Stop thinking about what YOU want and focus and WHAT the business needs.

    I thought that we were in business to HELP OTHERS and in the process we reap the rewards (profits) with our "out-of-the-box" insights!

    In truth, the easiest service to sell is a 15 or 30 minute free consultation. Especially if you are just starting out. Spend 3/4 of the time listening to what business owners want and need, then spend 1/4 of the time telling them about how you can provide them with the solutions they seek.

    The business owners you listen to, the more knowledge you will gain about the services you should focus on. It's a lot easier than guessing at what services you should offer.

    Out of the two - Fan pages. Everyone is on Facebook these days, and for the people that aren't they still visit Facebook fanpages (i know of friends that do). Businesses are 'living in the past' without one IMO
