Selling Fan Pages- A Couple Quick Questions

A couple questions for Warriors who have experience selling FB fan pages-

Do you target businesses that already have fan pages (for re-design)? Or do you target businesses that aren't on FB yet?

What industries are best to sell fan pages to?

    I have the best luck with ones that already have a page but haven't customized it.

    No graphics to speak of, a picture instead of a banner, etc.

    These people use Facebook and are aware of the benefits but don't have a clue about how to do any lead capture or building fans.

    Both...we focus on not only designing the page nut all the Apps, bells and whistles. Then we back it up with a marketing plan to get 250 to 500 Likes per month.

      Yeah that's what I was thinking, thanks. Do you recommend any specific industries to go after?

      Thanks James, that's a great idea for an upsell. I was just going to offer the fan page creation for a set fee and then a small fee for hosting, but I'll go for the social media management upsell. Looks like I'll finally have to bite the bullet and test out Facebook ads.

          I just started selling fanpages..sold 2 last week and they were both hair salons You can also charge them a monthly fee to *maintain* their page..

    Facebook fanpage design is just the beginning, entice clients further with a monthly service i.e. managing their FB wall. usually they will want it as they have no time for these.

      It is against Facebook's TOS to sell fan pages, however, there is nothing stopping you from selling your. However original admins have to remain as admins and cannot be removed from the page.

          Instead of trying to "convince" or "sell" people on the benefits of having a "FaceBook FanPage"....provide a service that people who ALREADY have an EXISTING "FaceBook FanPage" will buy in a New York Second!"

          They are ALREADY SOLD on having a FaceBook FanPage....all you need to do is "ENHANCE" it for them so they can get MORE benefits from it and... make it easier to get more "Likes"!

          How do you do this? Offer to "EMBED" their FaceBook FanPage into the Home Page of their existing website!

          This is an easy $200 to $500 "service"!

    I sell to a lot of warriors who in turn sell to chiropractors, hair salons, lawyers etc. You can also offer to optimize their page for SEO as well as optimizing the top images and also showing them how to market themselves. There are a lot of little things you can offer. Integrating their optin form, integrating the like box on their website, adding a coupon or running a contest for them. The list is pretty long.
