Local Marketing-What to Charge?

I have read many posts about internet marketing for local businesses i.e. local seo, google maps/places, ppc, social media and have seen all different methods of what to charge and how to charge the client?

If i was to being contacting local companies what is the average price one should one be charging for basic web design re-do? PPC? SEO? eastbalishing a social media presence? hosting etc etc.

What od you think the best pricing strategy is?

Very interested to know.

I usually base my pricing on what the project is, and how big the company is.

I will charge more for a bigger site for a large company than what I would charge a small service type business that only needs a few static pages.

My website design starts at $499 and can go up to anything after that.

Google Places I usually quote $297 setup, and $147 per month to maintain their ranking.

Facebook page is $149 plus $50 per month for occasional wall updates and welcome page changes.

You really can charge anything you want, and charge what you think you are worth. Businesses don't buy the services as much as they buy you and how good you treat them.

    Just my opinion.

    Thanks

Your starting point is what the local market is paying now. There will be a range, which depends on various factors including experience, range of services you offer, the difficulty of any specialized work involved and more.

Figure out where you fall in that range. If you are new, without much experience, you'll fall at the lower end of the range until or unless you can show that you offer added value.

I price using both an hourly fee and a fee per project, depending on the situation. If I'm quoting an hourly fee it's usually because the work isn't defined well enough to tie it down to a specific project.

When I charge by the hour I charge at the high end of the scale. This is both because my experience and results warrant it, and because I work fast, and I don't want to be penalized for that.

These are some good price points, do you have any criteria you use to determine which client is right for you ?

I only go for business with at least 50K in monthly transactions.
