I have been at this for a year or so. I finally quit my job, but most my business comes from craigslist, and emails. I am about to work with a guy who is good at sales, and "gets it" from what I am offering , to the overcoming objections etc.

I need some marketing materials. He wants to go into meetings with something to show the potential clients. What do you guys use. Where can i get marketing material for mobile sites, facebook, seo, etc......

Is there a good wso out there that has all of these.....

Please advise......

Thanks guys

If you want some easy templates check out vistaprint. They cater to small biz printing. In terms of content same concepts of online apply; call to action, clear messaging etc. I am sure there are a million sites that describe how to write a brochure. Otherwise hire a copywriter.

Well said Dexx - I agree. I also like to provide a few testimonials/case studies either before or during.

Seconding Dexx. Pen, paper and your brain is all you need. Good questioning skills will uncover the facts, and you and the prospect can put what's important down on the paper. If they fill it out with you, they'll be much more involved and committed. You don't need fancy presentations to sell. In fact, they're much more likely to make you seem to be a "slick salesperson" rather than a "trusted advisor."

    My good looks....

    Sorry couldn't resist...;-)

Seriously though, you just have to go in prepared for a job interview... I always joke that us entrepreneurs are always on the job hunt and we get interviewed for jobs daily unlike 9-5ers who once they've got the job and don't get fired or quit don't have to go through all that again for a while... us though?

    Everyday.... especially us marketers.

So here's a few tips for your partner...

Don't go in shooting blind. Find out as much as you can about the particular company you're wishing to get a job with as you can. If you can't find anything on them before the meeting, use part of the meeting for that.

    Something like...

"In order to be able to give you the best possible solutions we have to know a little bit more about your company especially with regard to XYZ"... People love to talk about themselves so this should be easy to get them to do that in a meeting.

If you're trying to GET a meeting, I'd suggest you simply let them know who you are, what you do, how you can possibly be of assistance to them and why it would be ideal if you could arrange a face-to-face to discuss that possibility in a little more detail.

There's no one-size-fits-all but you can go with those tips for starters.
