I have a PDF letterhead

But I want to type the content of the letters onto the letterhead page and then print them etc .

Now my minds gone dead , adobe doesnt let me type onto the letterhead pages and it doesnt let me save as word doc, the people who supply the letterhead cant save it as word doc only pdf or xml as they use a programme called In Design which doesnt let them do that.

Any ideas round this please
