Got My Second Client From Referal...But Not Sure Of Cost

Ok so I got another client based on a referal from my other seo client. They are getting a lot of customers and now this lead wants a redone website and seo.

Thing is though he is a Real Estate broker and wants to get back into getting leads. I can help him with it and even have a nice template laid out with a good MLS plug in just for realtors

My issue is I have pricing listed on my website (which I dont think he even knows I have it) and for what he wants will prob be to high.

I gave my first client a GREAT deal and now im charging a lot more for what im doing now for this client.

I dont know if my referal has told him what im charging him so w./o losing some more income how should I approach pricing in a very tough market.

To be honest Im willing to do the same work as my first client but then i feel like I will never get my pricing if I always "give discounts"

So he probably hasn't seen your website, and you're offering a solution to his problem?

Go give him your price. If he whines, which prospects normally do, say, "I can work with your budget. What would you like me to cut?"

Great post. Take-away selling at its simplest.

If he doesn't like the SEO price, then just say "I can set up a phone number, and you can just pay me for leads, do you think $25 per lead is fair? x-amount of leads per month, and you will end up owing me more money"

I kinda pulled this trick (dunno if it is one but it made sense to me at the time) on a guy who sells outboard motors and zodiacs, except, I used leads or commission, then when I told him the numbers of leads he could expect with the SEO traffic he would have, my monthly recurring fee seemed much smaller.

    Hope that helps.

Also, if he is a real estate broker, look into SMS for lead generation - "text mls# to shortcode for more information! (or virtual tour!) (or to see a mortgage calculator!) (or whatever to get them to do it) .. then when that happens he is sent a text and e-mail saying that someone is looking at mls# , and he has a hot lead.
