Do you realize what this will do to his reputation?

Even if people are his patients, the publicity online will destroy his business even if he wins in court.

Lol, sucks for the doctor. He get's what he deserves. He probably thought he would get away with it. Good job on part of the patient. Most people, would of forgot about it.

I just read that article. Great example of how not to act. Yelp refused to take down the review and now he has a ton of bad reviews and bad press.

This has blown up in media all over the place back in mid december. They interviewed some attorneys which said the agreement is legal, others that said it was bogus. Some have even said the dentist is likely to win, and collect not only the fee but potential damages that the media has brought to it. Who knows... as with everything, people have different opinions.

I don't think this will really destroy the business... just like any negative press, it increases visibility, and even if it is negative I doubt every potential client is going to see it.

Sleazy? Absolutely. You can probably bet they are going to be hiring a reputation management company to deal with this. Perfect opportunity. I may even give the dentist a call.
