ZESH WSO - HOW YOU GETTING ON?

I mentioned this in Zesh WSO thread but no one responded so i thought I'd create a thread so the people who have purchased his WSO to see how you all are getting on with it?

I have currently emailed around 10 business (still emailing more today) so far no response - I am not using the swipe file provided, i have created my own which explains that i am a freelance web designer and how Google+ can benefit you.

So how are you all getting on?

wow you really doing well. I am totally newbie here. I just used my personal FB page to contact them. My first attempt was a doctor's FB fan page. Right after sending a post on his wall, in two minutes my post was deleted. So I posted another 4 pages. But the results are the same, just takes a couple of days to delete my post and no one answer it.

Were you posting as a Page or under a personal account? You want to come across as a real person using this method.

Wait you are posting on a facebook page to try and get their business? I don't think that is a very good way of cold calling.

I posted a few within the first 24 hours of getting the WSO and got 2 calls (they both found my # on my FB page when they "checked me out") but have had nothing since then. Every day I've been sending out a few, but haven't received anything beyond those first 2.

Here's my opinion on this method:

Contacting business owners through Facebook is pretty iffy. If it's not done properly then it can scream "I'M A SPAMMER!!!" but that's one thing that was decent about this product. The swipe files were pretty good.

At the same time, you don't know who you're contacting when you do this. Maybe they have a guy/girl who takes care of their FB stuff for them. They're certainly not going to pass along that kind info. Or maybe it's an employee and who knows whether or not they'll let the owner know about your post.

Here's what I'm doing to take it a little further: Instead of counting on FB to generate leads, I'm using it as a foot in the door, similar to direct mail. I'm sending them the message and then I'll call them a few days later with something like "Hey, this is _____ from _______. I left you a message on Facebook the other day and........" type of thing. This makes the cold call a little less cold and gives you a new reason for calling. You could also follow up the FB post with a direct mailer before you call. Then they'll have had the opportunity to see your name twice before you call and may recognize it when you say "Hi this is ____"

In all, I think it's an interesting idea and worth reading the WSO, but don't count on it as your main source of leads.

Hi, I have been using Zesh's product for a week now and have sent out 30 posts and only had 1 reply from a social media manager. The big problem with posting on the FB page wall is that FB has its own so called "spam" filter and it will put your post into the hidden posts section of the wall if it thinks your post is spam. FB also checks for duplicate posts and if it finds them will also put them in the hidden posts section of the page.

The problem here is that most business owners will not even know about this hidden posts section so will never check it. I am going to try a new approach and send them a direct message instead.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

        Best Regards
        Graham

          Graham,

Just like with anything else you have to put something in there to make it your own. That is why I almost didn't include the script I have been using. Copying it word for word every single time will set off flags! Make it unique and it will go a ton better.

Hi Zesh, thanks for the reply. The thing is, you DID include the swipe and didn't mention that it should be varied. By including people are just going to copy and paste it because you have said it works!

One idea I did have was to invite the business owner to join their own circle with an introductory message via the google plus page?

I am still not convinced that FB is the way to go, I have tried personal wall posts and business page posts and no reponses yet.

I still think you have a nice idea but it does need refining, testing and proving.

            Best Regards

How did the phone calls go? Getting a company to pickup the phone and actually call you is the hardest part about offline marketing.

It is impossible to tell who is running the page. Some are fancy and you can tell an agency is running/designing them. Those will get less of a response.

Congrats on putting your own twist on the method!

Always love it when people take action!!!

There is no selling going on on the FB Fanpage. That all takes place in email or PM on the site.

Not to mention the guy running the facebook page is not always the guy you want to talk to.

Honestly if you did that on our facebook page I would report you for spam.

This sounds like a very bad idea.

In your previous post it didn't sound like you have read the WSO? In that case it is kinda hard to tell what is being posted. It isn't spamming but coming across as a "good guy", since you are helping them!

I've gone for the more emailing option, saying I am a freelance social network business page designer, and directing them to a FB business page to check out why they should b on google pages as well face book pages.

I've had one reply "link doesn't work" lol but I tested it again and it worked fine.

Howdy, all Google Pages Unleashed - fellow WF subscribers:

Thank you, iluvmoney, for starting this thread.

I have PM'd Zesh for which I have not yet heard back on.
    .
    • Zesh appears to not be responding to PM's
      .
    • 01-10-2012, 08:33 AM MT - In his post #309, Zesh states: "Hi guys. can you please email me on my email address? I have had so many emails haha trying to keep up!! zesh999 AT gmail.com. cheers. P.S Will answer you all." (I emailed the PM below as requested.)
    • 01-11-2012, 12:38 PM MT - In post #313, Zesh states: Update. Yes, offer is closed for now but when there is a special update EXISTING customers get it for free and new customers I will let you know. I am working on a WSO at the moment which is unrelated to this but another powerful strategy I use to get clients. cheer.

    • If I'm not mistaken, an UPDATE for Google Pages Unleashed has already been promised (promptly) by Zesh.

Several of you have mentioned FB SPAM, FB SPAM filter, etc.
    • It would seem to me that a sending a FB Wall message, such as Zesh suggests, would be more appropriate (professional), and likely better received, as a Private Message (PM).

The WSO concept is very appealing to me, but not at $97 a pop, but rather:
    • "for a one-time special of $250 vs. the standard $1,000"
    • (2) sold per day would bring approx. $5,000 (plus upsells)
My thining is... if a company has a FB Fan Page (developed by a 3rd party), more than likely they spent around $1,000 or more for it... therefor $250 would look quite attractive - but not be perceived as a dirt-cheap giveaway.

Like my questions below point out, much has been omitted from Zesh's original WSO. The marketing gaps beg for full disclosure and detailed explanation.

I am quite concerned (maybe irritated) that Zesh openly admitted that he's putting his time into a new WSO (even if it's free to us existing subscribers)... before finishing the task of updating this WSO as represented... leaving us with an intriguing... yet very incomplete WSO.

    I hope this proves helpful.

    Alan

Right now you have singled out FanPages to identify qualified prospects, which makes good target marketing sense.

    • The ability to: 1) conveniently comment on an owner's FanPage about having prepared a Google + Bus. Page and 2) qualifying business by letting the motivated business owners identify themselves by writing back... is a BIG MARKETING PLUS.

    • I would guess that FanPage comments probably have a much higher READ rate than a commercial email solicitation for the same thing, even for a FREE offer with HPV (high perceived value).

    • A FanPage private message might even be more attractive approach, in that your marketing strategy is not publicly accessible to anyone else, especially marketers (stealth tactic).
      .
    • This marketing model might likely work very well with LinkedIn.
Question-1: Have you identified other viable target markets, since business FanPages are still few and far between?

Question-2: What kind of stats did you experience developing your own marketing campaigns?
    1. Number of FanPage comments?
    2. Number of Owner responses?
    3. Number of Enhanced orders?
    4. How did you accept orders: PayPal link?, etc.

I received the following reply to my email from Zesh (post #8).

    My 1st impression is:
    • Great concept for a WSO;
    • Objectively... this WSO is half-baked and not yet ready for prime time.

    I hope this proves helpful.

Question-1: Have you identified other viable target markets, since business FanPages are still few and far between?
Fanpages are the most commonly used social media outlet for business owners that I know of. With Facebooks size and scale this is where most turn to. I expect this method to completely blow up now that Google has integrated Google Plus into their search!
Question-2: What kind of stats did you experience developing your own marketing campaigns?
    1. Number of FanPage comments?
I don't have exact numbers calculated yet. This method just came available so I started and have been refining it up til I put out the WSO

    2. Number of Owner responses?
I have had over 50+ responses. The more current their last posting increases the chances of them responding.

    3. Number of Enhanced orders?
I have sold over 40% of the people who have responded.

    4. How did you accept orders: PayPal link?, etc.
    Paypal

This is a proven method I have been using to get clients. It have been testing it since the changes were made in Dec for Google Plus Pages. Not til I had it figured out did I put it together as a WSO. When stuff is "really brand new" there are some kinks in the road. Better then a ton of rehashed material that floats around, in this day and age!!

So how are you all getting on?

Are you emailing the companies or posting like I talk about in the report? With the approach I take it doesn't come across as spam because there is an offer to flat out give it to the company.

This is a foot in the door method with the very real possiblity of an immediate payday.

"Zesh appears to not be responding to PM's"
PM box was full and it was a full time job getting back to everyone. If you sent one and it fell through the cracks let me know and I will get back with you!

"If I'm not mistaken, an UPDATE for Google Pages Unleashed has already been promised (promptly) by Zesh."
I supplied an update to the product as soon as the WSO of the Day craziness died down. I am working on an additional update to the product as we speak. It is being put together based off of all the feedback and questions I have been getting and responding to! I have not forgotten!

It would seem to me that a sending a FB Wall message, such as Zesh suggests, would be more appropriate (professional), and likely better received, as a Private Message (PM).
there is no way I know of to find out who exactly runs the fanpage. The only thing I could think of is searching for the business owner on Facebook? In my opinion, that would take too long ;-)

"My thining is... if a company has a FB Fan Page (developed by a 3rd party), more than likely they spent around $1,000 or more for it... therefor $250 would look quite attractive - but not be perceived as a dirt-cheap giveaway."
The problem with that theory is that there is a ton more you can do on a FB Fanpage then you can on a Google Plus Business Page. Once they catch up to the functionality then the price would be able to go up and up!

"I am quite concerned (maybe irritated) that Zesh openly admitted that he's putting his time into a new WSO (even if it's free to us existing subscribers)... before finishing the task of updating this WSO as represented... leaving us with an intriguing... yet very incomplete WSO."

As I stated already, I am working on the 2nd update to this course. The 1st update was added to the download page less than 48 hours after the WSO went live

Zesh my comments were not directed at your WSO but at the people here saying they had done that.

Though I believe your WSO suggests that and as a guy on the other side. I have to tell that IMO that is a horrible idea.

Facebook page wall contact is IMO the worst cold call you could ever use. And I went into a bit of what my reaction would be towards it.

These are my opinions. But as I always point out these are the opinions of one of the guys that people on this thread pitch. I get the cold calls. I handle the internet marketing pitches. So I give my opinions based on how I would react.

      Hello Zesh:

Thank you for coming aboard this thread and addressing many of your subscribers' questions.

You are an intelligent man. The WSO content itself is very well written... in fact exceeded my expectations.

The shortcoming of this WSO is lack of details, nondisclosure and omission of vital marketing statistics and logistics. If you should remedy this in version-2... I imagine your WSO will be very well received and much appreciated by your subscribers.

Objectively, I am fairly confident another WSO author will soon launch a thorough WSO Google Plus Pages treatise that will pave the way... if you do not.

Sincerely, I very much hope for your success and the improvement of this WSO's content.

In the WSO guide for "Google Pages Unleashed," it says, "The first thing we are going to do is create a simple Google Plus Business page for this business."

On page 17 of the guide, there is actually a screen shot and right above the 'Create' button there is a check box with the statement: "I agree to the Pages Terms and I am authorized to create this page."

Am I missing something? If I am creating a page prior to contacting a business, can I really claim that I am authorized to create the page?

Maybe I am parsing words here, but it doesn't matter what you or I think in terms of the meaning of the word authorized, it matters what Google thinks.

I currently work in a niche field where I could easily create 2,000+ Google Plus business pages for prospective clients. BUT, what will happen, or could happen, if Google sees me creating all of these pages and I am not, in their opinion, authorized to do so?

Has anyone else had this concern or perhaps I didn't understand how Zesh's WSO is supposed to work and/or the terms when setting up a business page.

    Cheers,

    @HalfSwede

It is a blatant disregard of the TOS to setup pages on behalf of the business owner without being authorized to do so. As such, I have posted messages on my FB, and LinkedIn pages for any business that receives such requests (as suggested in the WSO) to contact me immediately. Due to the fact that these people have no respect for the rules and are not the type of people you want associated with your business.

Who's building trust and credibility now?

I invested in lee cole and Aj's latest wso and it suggests for you to do something extra that will eliminate some of your concerns. but you guys zesh gives you scripts too. whats so hard about using email and then callin them up and saying i just sent you an email did you get it (after intro of course) and then tell why you called. if you get lee's course you'll know how to open the conversation and have plenty to talk about.

i have to quite buying and work but i'll be the first to tell you wso's build on each other. one helps another and visa versa.
